[ he might notice that when Sascha does look at him, it's not quite at him, and for once endowsnt have his shades on. ]

My head hurts. [ Which is the understatement of the century. ]

[Simon nodded, going through the usual check of feeling for a pulse, taking out a thermometer to measure body temperature- but not sticking it in Sascha's mouth quite yet.]

Did something cause it? Did you injure yourself, or is it a migraine, or did it come from nowhere?

Um...migraine I think. I get them a lot, from light and stuff. [ Any light at all really, what with his pupils permanently dilated. ]

[Simon nodded again, deciding to forego checking Sascha's eyes for that reason, to check for pupil dilation.]

What do you usually do when you have one?

Go to a quiet dark room? [ When...when he isn't fighting it to spend time with people, anyway. ]

Do you take painkillers of any sort, as well?

I've never taken medicine. [ He shakes his head! ]

Hmmm... [Simon thought about that, before reaching into his bag.] Would you like to try? I won't give you anything you don't consent to, but if nothing else, I can at least give you something to help you sleep. Your bunk might be the best place to sleep it off.

But I don't have a bunk... [ That he knows of, anyway. ] I sleep with Bigby. Or Ramse. Or sometimes Obi-wan~

You should have one- everyone on the ship is assigned one. If nothing else, you can lay on the bed in the medbay and I'll turn all of the lights off. ... unless Bigby will let you have his bed.

We sleep on the floor~ [ which he tries to sound happy about, but from the way his shoulders are drawn up tight and he favours one temple that he is indeed in quite a bit of discomfort. ]

[Simon grimaced in sympathy.]

Would you be more comfortable on the floor, then? [As he speaks, Simon is reaching into his medkit and offering a pill for the headache.]

[ Sascha takes it and blinks reflexively (because it certainly doesn't help him see any better) ]

You don't mind....? [ The pill hovers in his hand as he feels over it curiously, then brings it to his lips and swallows. ]

The most important part is making you comfortable, yes, and dimming any lights or anything that make the symptoms worse. Unless a major crisis happens within the next few hours, we'll be fine- and there are other medbays to use in that case.

Well...I'm blind right now♥ So you don't have to worry about the lights. [ Nami already burned away his retinas, IT'S ALL GOOD. ] Lying down sounds nice though...

Then I will help you to the medbay. [Simon began reaching over to help Sascha.] Can you stand up?

Uh-huh. [ But the offer of assistance has him practically glowing with pleasure, reaching both hands out to him for a hug. ]

[MASSIVE EYEROLLING HERE because Sascha pls. But she chews over that blind comment for a second. "Right now" means he's being figurative, right...?]

Simon, light hurts him all the time. Is there anything you can suggest that counters that?

[Being treated for a migraine is one thing, but she kind of wants a more long term solution, because wow that sucks.]

[Simon was a little surprised by the obvious reaching for the hug, but he let Sascha do so anyway. He then looked at Nami, biting his lip.]

I'd prefer to go for a non drug-based solution, if possible, since I never know what kind of supply I'll have... but aside from wearing dark glasses or lenses all the time... hmm. I will have to ponder it.

[ Yaaaay, that means it's hug time! Sascha will latch on happily, letting them talk since he's more concerned with being happy and being allowed to hug someone. ]

No, that's fine. I wasn't thinking drugs specifically-- more just wanted you to know this was an ongoing problem he's got. [As opposed to the one migraine.]

I understand... I was thinking out loud mostly, and I do appreciate the headsup. [He then looked at Sascha, beginning to help him stand up so they could move to a darker room.] For now, a room with lights out should do the trick.
