There are a lot of questions and interests about other worlds lately. I have one question that I'm interested in right now. [ Alright, Ankain you can do this. I'm not saying you should ignore it.

I'm saying you can be the Chosen One and still make your own decisions. If everything was fated, the future wouldn't always be in motion. And after all-- aren't you the one who taught me that there's often more than one path to victory?

Being the Chosen One is a fate. There is no deciding on that, no other path.

Well, it's been a while since we've been in our own world but the last time I was there, I do remember the galaxy was still at war.

What if we're all thinking too narrowly? Too literally? Everyone in the Temple is so caught up in thinking that your destiny as the Chosen One means you're going to end the Clone Wars with your own two hands. But that's so obvious. Not to mention impossible. How can one person end a war?

What if-- what if your destiny as the Chosen One was to marry Padmé and father Luke and Leia?

[ He's quiet for a second while he considers that then

[Ahsoka pulls back from the video feed, and it's clear she's offended.]

What? No! I'm being serious!

We've all been so caught up in the war, in the politics! Nobody's realised what's really been going on-- with the clones, with the Chancellor, with the Order becoming more focused on, on politics and fighting than doing the right thing!

What if what we need isn't more fighting, but more peace? More understanding, and kindness to others? A different kind of Jedi Order, one that lets people have attachments? That's what Luke wanted! Did you even know that? Or were you too busy freaking out to even talk to him?

[ He listens and he's quiet. He can ignore the swipe at him about Luke because it's not her words or her reaction that makes him sighs, look even more weary than before. It's how time and time again he's had to bring up the same fact, deal with the consequences of such ideals.

[Ahsoka's eyes go wide in surprise for a brief second, then immediately narrow in anger. For a moment she just stares at the screen, irritation momentarily leaving her speechless and indignant, before pursing her lips.

This is exactly the opposite reaction that Ahsoka wanted. She knew she had gone too far. She did it on purpose. She wanted to provoke him-- get a reaction, anything other than more of the Same Condescending Bullshit she's been continually getting whenever they try to talk about something serious. Oh, right. Sorry, I forgot you always know best! Despite literally having no idea of what you're supposed to do next. Whatever, it doesn't matter what Ahsoka thinks because she's young and naive!
