How do you know you can't change what's to come if you don't try?

Of course you act when you find a future you don't want. It's only natural. But that's not the point.

If there are bigger players involved, they will prey on that inclination.

Maybe that's so. I don't know - I can't say I've ever spent much time thinking about "bigger players" on that scale. The players I actually have to deal with are already big enough.

Besides, with that kind of thinking, eventually you'd get to a point where you'd lose all hope. And hope is a really important thing to have. I think.
