There are a lot of questions and interests about other worlds lately. I have one question that I'm interested in right now. [ Alright, Ankain you can do this. Forget about that scolding Obi-Wan voice in your head telling you that the future is always changing. ] Does your universe-- do you believe in fate?

Destiny.

[ That doesn't help, which is fine. It's fine. It goes against the Jedi teachings and feels wrong just saying it. Nevermind that things are different with each universe, so it can't be really applicable, right?

[ Chuckling ] Why are you asking me so many questions? I thought I was supposed to the one looking for answers here.

I'm good at asking questions! My teacher said if you keep asking all the answers figure themselves out eventually.

[She already knows the answer to this one, anyway. She and Obi Wan have been talking about prophecies.]

I don't know. Everyone's got a destiny. Maybe I wanted to know if anyone else knows of theirs. Maybe I'm just trying to do what your teacher said.

Hmm. I don't think I'm destined to do anything. But I bet once I die, someone will tell people it was my destiny.

...I don't think because someone tells you that you're meant to do something that you should feel forced to do it. But if you want to, that's different, isn't it?

I'm not sure but there's a good chance you're right about that.

My guess? If I want to or I'm forced, either way it's a destiny. It just depends on who's making it for you, yourself or someone else.

I suppose so. [She sounds a little doubtful, but mainly it's because she's not quite sure where she's going now. SHE HAD A POINT IN HERE SOMEWHERE.]

I like the idea that destiny doesn't really exist, so you could change anything you like about your life just by turning left instead of right. But I suppose the world isn't always fun like that.

That's a very weird destiny.

[It occurs to her that the fae do generally believe in destiny. They have entire artes based around the fact. But then that's also kind of classed as forcing a destiny, which isn't the same thing. Is it?]

If destiny does exist, I wonder if there's ways you can break it. There should be ways. [Otherwise it's not very fair. Which is a running pattern, really.]

I don't know if it would count as destiny if you could break it, would it?
