[The broadcast opens up with Sora who looks like he's sitting on the cargo bay floor of the Golden, surrounded with a few cleaning droids. When he speaks, he seems awfully cheerful]

You know, it occurs to me that I've almost been here two months- and I haven't really said hi to everybody!

So...Hiya! [He gives a wave to the camera] I'm Sora! I'm the maintenance guy on the SS Golden! Nice to meetcha all! Even if we've...already met!

[Yeah!]

Which, speaking of maintenance...! [He rubs the back of his neck] Ha, I'm pretty new at the job, so I was wondering if anyone knew, just out of curiosity...

What do you do when the smoke detector's smoking?

[Fish aren't cute. He'll definitely protect them if they're being tortured, but... commercial fishing isn't a thing on his world.]

The people I traveled with used to demand it...

[He tips his hand a little, shows he has a soft spot if he let them boss him around.]

Ha. Friends of yours, I take it?

[Because he really can't see Dezel just putting up with someone he doesn't like pushing him around.]

Yeah. Bunch of knuckleheads, really. You'd get along fine.

[Actually--]

Sorey and Mikleo are on the Huntress. You're welcome to bother them instead of me.

But that's great you have friends here! But how come you guys aren't on the same ship? [He knows if his friends from home were here, he'd make sure they were]

[He snorts at that. He'd probably miss Sora a little but he's not going to acknowledge that.]

... I like my space, that's all.

[It's not, but he doubts that Sora will be pleased to hear how Dezel is actually dead.]

[No, probably not]

You mean your room that you don't let anyone in? Man, it must be a really sweet room then if you're that determined to keep it.

[Don't worry, Sora totally missed the point there by a looooong shot]

That's not the point. [A small sigh.] The way things are on my world meant that I had to share a body with four people I didn't know. Of course I'm going to want my own space after that.

What? You shared a body with four people-?!

How's that even possible?

It's not something that happens unless a seraphim makes a pact with a human.

It's more- you know how I can talk to animals? If I form a bond with a Pokemon, it goes deeper than that. We can synchronize our thoughts and movements.

Usually people do this so they have Pokemon allies to help 'em out. And in exchange, the people take care of the Pokemon and help 'em grow stronger.

Though...there really isn't any body-sharing, I don't think. [Some pokemon are weird so who knows]

Sounds like the pact, except we don't need taken care of. Not like animals do. But there are definitely advantages to having the Shepherd as a vessel. The power is-- it's overwhelming at first.

[Yeah he's pretty sure Simba could take care of himself if needed, but he's just spoiled. Ah well]

Heh, not sure I'd call any bond with me overwhelming in power...

But a pact sounds pretty intense. No wonder you'd want a little break from it.

To normal people, it might appear that the Shepherd is performing a miracle. That's the kind of strength it is.

[And that's why it's such a big deal.]

I like them but there are some things that just can't be changed. Being in close quarters only makes it worse.

Wow. Sounds powerful!

[Definitely stronger than any of his bonds. But that last part that Dezel says? It's very vague but it sounds...troubling? Bad, even.]

It's fine. Don't worry about it.
