Hello! [Lily waved to the screen, there seemed to be some smoke..no steam rising to occasionally fog the lense. She was dusting her hands off on a towel before she tossed it onto her shoulder.]

Well, exciting month last month eh? Parties, dances and meeting all sorts of new friends. I didn't want to do anything until all that fun had worn off; but I may have managed to obtain some things to help ease the space travel after such lavish offerings. [And with that the camera pans down and around, hey she's gotten good at this since her arrival! And there is food, not as grand as the tables at the party but still quite a spread of breads, pastries, cheese and real meat.]

And as a special gift, Captain Furiosa, [She raised a small fruit in her hand. A peach, three others were on the table next to a plate of grilled peaches and popovers.] All food is available in the galley, stop on by when you get a chance.

[He brightened that she agreed with everyone's assessment.] Do you know what the metal was?

No... a carbon and aluminum alloy if I had to guess? Light, flexible, and strong.

Now that ... will take more doing than what I have on this ship. [He sighed.] What I would not give for the ability to make my own parts - ah well, we shall have to see what we can do when we move on.

Nova, I consider you a friend. I would never send you off to battle with sub-par weaponry. I want you to live.

Well, obviously. But there's a difference between serviceable and perfect.

You consider me a friend?

That I cannot deny -- but I at least want it to shoot the arrows somewhere nearer to the target.

[One eyebrow raises.]

I do not make weapons for my enemies, Nova.

[takeabow]

I'm not saying we're not.

[ which is probably the best he'll get from her ]

Mm. Good.

[And he'll just be smiling around the edge of his cup here, Nova.]

Turns out I'm especially good at not dying.

Have you lost anyone here?

Just one friend, so far. [He is quiet for a moment.] Another has asked me to kill him if he becomes evil. I am not entirely certain how I feel about that - but he's a kind ... person. I would hate to see him any other way.

Sometimes they're not who you know anymore.

Yes, I suppose sometimes they are. [He sighed softly.]

Well, I hope you don't have to do anything like that. Does he think it's a high likelihood?

I have the feeling he is simply being ... overprotective? [He swirled the wine around in his cup.] But he is an odd fellow, so I will guess he knows himself better than I know him.

Fair enough.

Well, like I said, not getting killed is the thing I'm known best for at home.

How very odd - so am I. [He smirked at her knowingly.] I doubt you talk yourself out of those situations however.

A number of variations on - 'I am innocent.' It has worked more times than I can count.
