Who: Jon Snow and you!
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: Three Twins.
When: June 1st
[When the feed opens, the first thing seen is an empty bed. It's been slept in somewhat recently, you can see the mess the owner's left it in, but the owner himself is nowhere in sight--at least until someone picks the communicator up.
Congrats, folks, it's a new month and one of the first things you get to see is Jon Snow's deeply annoyed frown, framed by a shot of the--ceiling?]
And here I thought this fleet couldn't surprise me anymore. [From his exasperated tone, it's probably immediately obvious just what he thinks about this little surprise.] I hadn't been told anything like this would happen. Does it usually?
[And he turns the camera down towards his feet, which, currently, are floating a few feet off the ground. He pulls the camera back up towards his face, which is wearing an expression of utter annoyance.]
And when can I get back down?
[The feed ends right there, but curious souls can find Jon floating grumpily or trying to ineffectually steer himself along the corridors of the Three Twins! Looks like he's just gotten his first taste of an augment malfunction, and it's just made him immune to the ship's gravity drive.
What a lucky bastard.]

[A pause, then:] This nebula--[and the sound of the word on Jon's tongue is a little bit off, like he's just trying it out]--what are the chances we might pass through one again?
Audio;
[He tilts his head thoughtfully.]
As of yet there's only been the one as long as anyone's been here, and it caused enough difficulty that Atroma is likely to route us with a wide berth around anything similar. Still, it's a possibility, if unlikely. It is always better to prepare for such an eventuality.
Audio;
[...he's probably not going to wear the entire suit, let's be real here. It clashes too much with his #aesthetic.]
Were there any other problems when the fleet went through it, any dangers that we'll have to know of if we lose power again? Or was it just the gravity that was affected?
Audio;
Many other systems were affected, in fact. The lights were out and we could do little more than drift; the weapons and shields were unusable. Fortunately for all, life support remained on, though a good deal of that is passive in the ships regardless. I'd highly recommend each ship have a portable light source independent of the ship's power for such an occurrence.
[The glowing fish from the beach planet had actually come in handy - and it's one reason he's expanded his horticulture since then. If the life support did go down, they'd at least have oxygen for a while.]
Audio;
Any ideas? I can think of--battery-powered lamps [how does he know that? damn it, augment] but they run the risk of running out before we pass through. And I don't think anyone wants to risk setting something important on fire.
[A pause, then:] How long did it take before the fleet passed through the nebula?
Audio;
It was a matter of hours, perhaps a day at most.
