[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

[Loki laughs.] And they say I am the liar.

I'm not lying. [a shrug] I've never been to war. Battle, maybe - if you want to look at it that way.

Life is war, when others can look at you and see you are unlike them.

[a little dryly] A couple of months ago I might've agreed with that.

Is it like that on Asgard? [he tilts his head] Is that why you think that way?

And what has changed, since?

[He shrugs carelessly.] Asgardians are a warrior race. Your stories got that right, I believe.

Another world. [he shrugs a shoulder, glancing away briefly] A chance to change our future. There's a lot of things happened that made me rethink how I view it.

[a smile] Yes, but that doesn't answer my question, Loki. I'm familiar with the stories.

No future is set. Surely you know that.

[He smiles back.] Don't be absurd, Hank. Do I look like a warrior to you?

I know that now. But the one we were moving towards was . . . bad.

[it was so bad they had to send someone back in time to try and fix it. #MutantLife]

If I'm a warrior, you certainly are. [he huffs, but it's good-natured]

How fortunate, to have advance warning.

[Haha. Well, that is something of the point.] We both seem to be playing at it. [He's just much, much better at it than you, Hank.]

I don't think they had any other choice.

[he has those sometimes, and the smile widens] So it would seem. Though I imagine you're more experienced at it then I am. [he raises his eyebrows] Having been raised in a warriors' society and all.

Oh? Howso. [This sounds like a story within.]

More to do with my being [He eyes Mr. Babyface speculatively.] nearly fifty times older than you, if anything. But no, I was all knees and elbows and something of an embarrassment.

[He can deliver a piece of the truth so flippantly, because he doesn't think it will be believed. Which is useful.]

As far as I know, changing the past to save the future was the last option they had. [he knows more, certainly, but he isn't going to go into details about it.

......... don't eye him like that god dammit he's not that young HE LOOKS OLDER LIKE THIS.

And then he just. Looks at Loki, eyebrows raised and amusement on his face. Oh, he believes it, Loki] I was all of that with a pair of prehensile feet. I get it. [and that's the only reason why he's amused - because he understands what that's like]

How did they accomplish such a feat?

[That's unexpected. Perhaps Hank is even more gullible than he originally thought. Has the man forgotten he's the liesmith? It's always a bit disquieting when people believe a truth he's offered because it ought to be though of as a lie. No change of expression, though. He shrugs.] I suppose I was beaten into some sort of useful shape eventually.

That I don't know, I'm afraid. I would assume it was one of the mutants' powers, though.

[listen, Loki's a tall, skinny guy and Hank is a tall, skinny guy (when he's under the serum, anyway), so of course he's going to believe it. It only makes sense, given his own experience growing up. He makes an amused noise that comes out a soft, rumbling noise] I imagine so, or else I doubt you would have become so infamous. If the stories are true, at least.

[Oh well. He'll poke around more later, but for now he lets that topic go.]

[He grins whitely for a moment.] You ought not believe everything you hear.

I don't believe everything I hear. [he wasn't that bad, paranoid as he could be at times] Especially with someone who has a reputation as a trickster.

A relief to hear. They are such useful stories.

But just how true are they?

None of them.

And all of them. Depending upon your viewpoint.

[he raises an eyebrow, then finally shrugs a shoulder]

I'm not one for believing stories.

Then you must see very clearly and be puzzled by it all.

[tilts his head, huffing out a noise. A little dryly:]

I'd rather form an opinion of you based on speaking with you rather than stories written by people who may have never met you.

That's all.

[Smile.] And what of those who have known mine?

[Since by that metric, Hank really shouldn't be taking to him at all.]

[he shouldn't, but he's here, and they've had a fairly neutral conversation up until now and their past conversation went well enough, too]

I listen. But I'm still capable of forming my own opinions, too.

[he shrugs a shoulder] Why? Should I not be talking to you?
