[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

A - superhero?

[ she touches one of the flowers, traces the petals with a finger before smiling again ]

What is that? it is a funny name.

Oh. Um.

Sometimes there are people with powers beyond what regular people can do. And sometimes those people want to help others with those powers. That's a superhero.

Powers? You mean magic?

[ it is the closest thing that comes to mind ]

They say magic existed in my realm but that it was gone when the dragons disappeared.

[ and now, faced with the dragon queen, she doesn't rule out magic, either. she'd be a fool to try to. ]

Well... at a certain point, it could be considered indistinguishable from magic. But it's more just that some people are born with abilities that are more enhanced than others. Like someone being very tall or very strong. Just... stronger than regular people can be.

You had dragons?

Like a talent of a sort?

[ she tries, evidently, to piece together whatever parallels that exist between her own world and kara's. there aren't many, to be truthful but she does favor the sound of it ]

Years before I was born, yes.

[ she stands up... and then floats up off of the ground a bit, casually. guess who can fly! ]

[ she gasps and then gives her an excited applause ]

oh! beautiful! as if you're a butterfly.

[ she smiles ]

can all girls in your world fly?

[ she lands softly and sits again, smiling at Margaery's question ]

Oh, no. Me and my cousin are the only ones who have these particular powers. Even back home, I'm from another planet.

What is a planet?

[ and a moment later, she laughs ]

see? I told you. Now I am asking too many questions.

No, it's all right.

Do you... understand where we are right now? About space?

Space is above the sky, above where the stars are.

[ that's as much as she could understand. ]

[ she thinks for a moment... trying to figure out how to explain the concept to her ]

Okay... let's try this. Imagine a field of wildflowers. There's air between the flowers—space, in this case—and each of the flowers represents a different world, or planet. Right now, we're like a butterfly going through space between the flowers; from one planet to the next.

Where I live at home, butterflies don't change flowers very often. They stay happily on their own flowers and live their lives there. So, when someone does come from another flower, it's strange and a little scary to them. Especially when the butterfly can do cool things that the native butterflies can't do.

You mean to tell me someone can honestly find someone as beautiful and sweet as you scary?

[ she cannot see it, kara. ]

I have never even known something like space existed and I find this wonderful. Some things are certainly strange, but not you.

Not everyone knows me, and I haven't always been on my best behavior. Some things affect me in different ways than they would affect you, and one time it meant that my personality was changed for the worse.

But that was not your fault.

[ her smile turns softer, more sympathetic. ]

do you miss your - planet? your flower?

The one I'm from originally? I do, quite a bit. But it's gone, and I love my new planet a lot.

I am sorry.

[ she reaches for her hand and presses her own to it ]

for your flower. I imagine it must have been lovely.

[ takes her hand and squeezes it lightly ]

It was, though maybe less so at the end. It wasn't healthy. I miss my parents though. My mother was beautiful.

Like the moon wasn't healthy?

[ she dares hope its people will find a kinder fate. ]

[ a little smile ]

Did you have brothers and sisters, too?

Yes, like the moon, but much more... volatile.

[ she shakes her head ]

Just me. My cousin was saved as well, but we weren't raised together on Earth.

I have an adopted sister, though. She's wonderful, and a little older than me. She looked out for me.

Like a sister by birth would have done.

[ she nods. ]

Like my brothers would do for me were they here. Loras is especially protective, he used to frown at the young men who would speak to me when I was younger.

Didn't want any untoward advances on his sister? Some things are consistent, at least.

He certainly did not.

[ she chuckles ]

He was the ladies' favorite, however. He is gallant and so handsome. were he to come here, all the women of all the planets would wish for his favor.

You speak very highly of him. Is he older?

I am the youngest. Some people say we look like twins, he and I, we have similar features. He is the Knight of Flowers and I the Rose of Highgarden. He is the one I am closest to, he is very keen on my protection and my happiness as I am on his.

[ excellent with a sword but her own wits are sharper. put together, they make for a good duo]
