[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

I figured he wasn't human. [a small smile] I might be the only one who's human with fur. [because mutants were humans too, just - y'know, genetically a little different]

[ Heck yes. Sascha shares this sentiment entirely, especially when it comes to Kitty. Hank and Kurt he'll gladly call human, but they're also different, kind of like him. It helps him feel more at ease with them. ]

That's okay! I love your fur. It smells super-clean.

[he doesn't subscribe to that "mutants are superior" nonsense and never has. One day someone will ask him about it and they'll regret it immediately because he can explain it right down to the genetic differences. What a nerd]

Do you have to brush your fur? I tried to brush Bigby's, but it's too thick.

Uh - no, not really. I don't spend a lot of time like this - just at night, or in the morning. I take something that lets me look more human.

But...why?? [ Why WOULDN'T you want to be blue and furry at all times?? ]

I'm not - entirely comfortable like this. [are you sure you want to get into that bag of issues]

But... [ he's not even a vampire, and still? People dislike him for the blue, even though his eyes are perfectly normal compared to Sascha's own? ]

You look normal. [ But vampire standards of identification anyway ]

["normal" hahaha. Hank stares at him for a moment before he looks away, shaking his head]

Not - not in my world. I'm anything but normal-looking.

But your eyes are just like any other human's--there's nothing strange about them at all. [ Sascha says this, and reaches to take Hank's chin automatically to see if he can't prompt the other to look back so that he can see them again. His UV shades keep his a bit obscured, but if Hank looks close enough past the glare on the lens he might notice that Sascha lacks an iris entirely. He's nothing but pupil, fully dilated so as to take in the maximum amount of light. ]

They're not—[he blinks but goes with the tug, leaning down some to make it easier to see. His eyes aren't green like they normally are, but a yellow-orange color instead.

He does note Sascha's eyes, but then again, he knows Sascha is a vampire, too. Or at the very least not human. Hell, his girlfriend has yellow eyes. Eyes don't bother him]

[ They're the number one indicator of a vampire back home and a sure-fire way to out someone, so where Sascha's concerned? Eyes are always the most important thing on a person. It lets him know who's "like him" and okay to approach. Or who isn't, and that he should be more distant.

Not that he does that anyway. ]

They're perfect♥ Just like any other human.

[he faintly shakes his head and takes a step back, looking anywhere but at Sascha. It's like he's found all of Hank's buttons and gently pushing them to see which one does what]

They are, [ he insists, almost stubbornly. Gently and stubbornly. ] Back home your eyes would be just fine. You have the colour part and the black part, and everything that makes them nice.

[ he doesn't. One look at his and he's as good as hunted. ]

No one would ever want to hunt you down because of them.

No . . . I wouldn't be hunted because of my eyes. [it's somewhat agreeing; they wouldn't hunt him down just because of that. His eyes were the closest thing to normal he had, looking like this.

He's reminded of an argument on a plane and shakes his head, looking down]

I'd be hunted for other reasons. [his part in the events of Cuba, in Paris, in Washington - Trask may be in jail but that didn't mean there weren't more like him] It's not - safe to walk around like this. Not yet.

[he wants to hope that'll change, but . . . then again, he's still uncertain]

But it's safe here...right? On the ships?

Even though I'm not human, no one's tried to get rid of me yet. [ And in his mind he's the worst thing that can possibly exist. So clearly if he's tolerable, Hank must be. He doesn't even eat people to survive! ]

It's safe here, as far as I can tell. [no one's said anything to him, at the very least, and he hasn't scared anyone. But he's also been incredibly careful about it.

He won't point out that despite his eyes, Sascha looks more human than he does] If it wasn't, you wouldn't see me like this. No one would.

Lucky then! [ And he genuinely means that. He'd actually find Hank weirder without fur at this point, because between him and Kurt he's getting pretty attached to his furry blue monsters. ]

[he has no idea how to handle this, at all, whatsoever. It's one thing hearing this sort of thing from Erik or Raven, or even the other mutants, but - even then he can barely accept it from them]
