[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

I'm possessing someone. Or - I should say I was, and they've long since passed on from the world, so technically this is my body now.

... You can probably guess what I'm wondering right now, right?

I'm heartbroken, now what the fuck did you mean by 'passed on from the world', or 'your body now'.

[she sighs. No one appreciates her human]

What I mean is that the original owner of this body died and their soul went to Heaven. And I'm fond of this one, so I've kept it in one piece since.

Died before or after you possessed?

After. Not on purpose, mind you. [a pause, as she takes a drink of her beer] I was pushed into holy fire; that's when she died, I think.

Humans can survive a possession, though. As long as the body's still in one piece when we leave.

[She stops, because she doesn't want to condemn when she doesn't know the situation at all. But still, that that person could have just been possessed and killed, powerless the whole time... It has her deeply unsettled, and the idea of it is enough to break her heart.

She settles on ordering another drink (the really sweet-tasting, fruity, ridiculously strong kind) and knocks it back as fast as she can.]

[if there's one thing she's learned over time, it's tact. Not that she's ever really used it, but she's learned when to keep her mouth shut, at the very least. She's damaged a host body in the past just to be a bitch, so she won't lie and try to make it sound better than it is. She couldn't, even if she tried. At the very least, Nightingale isn't throwing magic at her because of it. Small mercies, and all.

She orders herself another beer, even if she's still finishing off the first]

I know. I ain't gonna lie and try to make it sound pretty when it isn't. [she shrugs, finishing off the first beer] It won't happen here, though. I don't go host-shopping unlike most demons. I have standards, and like I said - I'm fond of this one.

[She's not sure she's really sorry, but freaking out won't do anyone any good, and she doesn't want to cause a scene. Maybe it'll be easier if she just gets drunk and forgets this conversation.]

Oh, it's fine. I've experienced much worse. Usually I get screaming.
