Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Iskaulit
When:

[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]
nerdeology: (with the giant statue that-)

The sun...

[Okay, that's actually pretty cool. Someone like that would be on par with the Five Lords, those who have chosen a significantly more impressive vessel than your average seraph.]

Wait, a goddess who became a mortal? How does that work?
nerdeology: (it's hard to find a more upbeat one)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-15 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
...Yes? Even gods can have methods and processes you can study, even if you yourself can't recreate them.

[If he ends up meeting Maotelus you can sure as hell bet he's going to grill the bastard for everything he knows.]
nerdeology: (and she was really annoying)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-15 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
That's... rather arrogantly simplistic.

[To humans, seraphim can just "make things happen", too, but they're still artes.]
nerdeology: (please stop interrupting)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-15 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That might be the case for your world, but not mine.

[Their "gods" might seem like they're all-powerful, but a seraph is still a seraph.]
nerdeology: (what? i said nothing)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
It works more or less the same if you have beings that are treated like gods to those who depend on them, I think. As you say, it's a system- as long as that system works, what one is is just a technicality.
nerdeology: (just say my name)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
You're assuming there are no seraphim who fit that criteria.
nerdeology: (okay play it cool)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Wow. Wow. That's rude.]

We're not pretending to be gods. It's humans who make that choice. And if being some kind of "true" god means having your level of arrogance, then I'd much rather be an imitation.
nerdeology: (i-i didn't want to bond anyway!!)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
The freedom to be looked down upon by someone who doesn't know a thing about me?

[Thrilling. And yeah, he has no idea what the hell you were talking about there, but his irritation is overriding his curiosity at this point.]
nerdeology: (i'm not mickey either)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Everything you say is degrading my kind, you're only justifying it by saying it's "truth"!
nerdeology: (i swear to god)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I did not! I objected to the idea that even the highest of seraphim stand unequal to whatever your "god" is, when a moment ago you didn't even know what a seraph was. And clearly you still don't.
nerdeology: (you're not edna)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well first of all, seraphim aren't mortals.

[where the hell she got that assumption, he has no idea.]
nerdeology: (YES they can have relations but)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-06-16 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Not in the same way that a human might. Will yours, miss goddess?

[He's still annoyed, but he does remember what she's already said.]
