[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]

You love him?? [ Oh man, oh man that's super-serious and awesome?? ]

Well, yeah, of course. [They haven't been together that long. It's not an "of course" situation. But it still feels that way to her in the moment.] Is it that surprising?

Well...yeah! I mean, that's really fast. [ That's what Sascha is thinking anyway. He's from a time where couples still sometimes have separate beds and arranged marriages and...man. Love after only a handful of weeks? Winn must be AMAZING~~in bed~~ ]

Mmm, I'm used to living fast. [It was true when she still lived in a deceptively normal, stable world as a young genius with too many interests who spent her time training in dance and taking apart computers instead of just being a kid. And it was even more poignantly true when she was a young orphan being hunted for her genetic potential. And again as one of the X-Men trying to save a rapidly vanishing world.]

Really? I guess that makes sense then. [ ...Yep. Just like that. He wonders if Winn's used to living fast too. ]

I guess things go a little slower for people with long lives, huh? How long do you think it should take?

Oh, um....I dunno. I didn't bring it up because vampires live a long time... [ Awkward, awkward. His lifespan hasn't really been brought up since the party on planet, and it catches him off-guard as he fidgets. ]

[Noticing that awkward.] Sorry. Not a casual conversation thing, huh? [She wouldn't have brought it up around anyone, but she can just never bring it up too.]

I don't...usually think about it. If I don't have to. [ Or think about a lot of stuff, to be perfectly honest. The less he worries and properly thinks things through, the less he has to understand and accept. ]

Because it's painful when you do?

[ He nods wordlessly, although that's not quite the reason. He just doesn't have any words to better explain it, turning his gaze downwards. ]

I think you look just right the way you are. [Softer.] But yeah... [Because she knows being different has been hard on him. It's been hard on her too at times but even among mutants she could "pass". She didn't face the same things Kurt does or Sascha.]

You...really think so? Even with my eyes? [ Because that's the main thing back home. No better way to check for a vampire than to look them in the eye. It's not like they have bizarre hypnotic powers or anything where he comes from. ]

[ Sascha's never heard a lot of things before, that's no surprise. But this one is something he hasn't even dreamed of. He's literally blown out of the water on this one. ]
