Who: Everyone
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Iskaulit
When:

[So we've been stuck on the poison moon for a couple months now, so a lot of people probably want to get away from that.

Unfortunately, the only place you really can get away from it besides your own ship is the Iskaulit. So, here's a June Iskaulit mingle!]
complicatedliar: (so very unimpressed)

[Dryly:] Propping open the armory door, from what I've seen.
huaaaaagh: (i mean if you care about it...!)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-06-26 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I've got nothing to do with the armory.

[He'd rather avoid it, considering who's running the thing.]

Anyway, there's a library here, right? So there's that.
complicatedliar: (totally not up to something)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-06-26 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It is the case in Asgard. I admittedly haven't seen Theon doing anything of the sort yet, but I'm not convinced he would recognize a book if one bit him.

[Some day they are really going to have to discuss their mutual Theon antipathy. It could be a bonding moment.]

It is better than nothing, true.
huaaaaagh: (more than it has already)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-06-27 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
[It's not even that Theon made a bad impression - though he kind of did. Someone just happened to mention that he murdered some kids, and whoops, no thank you.]

...Hey, you do magic, right? Can you enchant a book to bite someone?

[You know. Theoretically.]
complicatedliar: (well all right then)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-06-27 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
In theory.

Why. Whom are you looking to have bitten?
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (okay new plan: teriyaki.)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-06-28 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
No one in particular. Just something that might be good to know for future reference.

[Because that sounds awesome, hilarious, and terrifying all at once.]
complicatedliar: (giggley)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-06-29 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
[He laughs.]

I wager a few about could use a sharp nibble.
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (you understand my frustration)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-06-30 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
For deniability's sake, I should pretend I didn't hear that.

[nevermind that it was totally his idea.]
complicatedliar: (giggley)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-01 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
Ought I to forget 'twas you who brought the notion up?
huaaaaagh: (I guess I'm a bit obsessed)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-01 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, technically I did get the idea from you. But hey, if the god of tricks wants to share credit with a high-schooler...
complicatedliar: (GRIN!)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-03 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
And have someone else blamed?
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (that was not a cover-up)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-04 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
There is some appeal in sharing the blame. I think it's harder to be mad at two people than at one.
complicatedliar: (giggley)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-05 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's cute that you think he'd willingly be taking on any blame.] I couldn't possibly take credit for such an idea. I've some honor, you know.
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (but we all know how that would go)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-06 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[You can't fault him for trying, right?]

I wonder if anyone would buy it, me being able to make a biting book.
complicatedliar: (grin and a sideways look)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-07 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
If you play your cards right, no one would think it possible.
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (so anyway i killed the clerk)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-09 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... nobody takes the credit or the blame, then?

[That's the ideal scenario, admittedly. Let it be a mystery! He likes to be an unknown.]
complicatedliar: (boyish smile)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-17 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Even better. It is a vagary of chance, the nasty joke of the universe itself. See how they run.
huaaaaagh: <user name=headset> (why no i won't share my lunch with you)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-19 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
I like this terrible plan. A+.

[please do not let them become friends through the creation of monster books]
complicatedliar: (grin and a sideways look)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-20 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Now, the next question--which book would it be funniest, should it grow an aggressive personality?

[...well, this might be it. Whoops.]
huaaaaagh: (mmm.... delicious food...)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-21 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
In theory, probably a kid's book, but in actual practice, that would be mean. I don't wanna get a kid hurt.

[There aren't many in the fleet, but he knows they exist.]

Hmm... you think there are any books about learning combat? That'd be kind of ironic. Like a literal training manual.

complicatedliar: (all according to plan)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-22 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm, true. I rather like children. [And no one else.]

Oho. If there is not such a book, 'twould be easy enough to invent.
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (REALLY love the food- i mean you)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-24 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Chomping at the Bit: The Warrior's Guide to Taking a Bite out of Your Weaknesses".

[Okay, so it's a bit long, but he digs the puns too much to care.]
complicatedliar: (giggley)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-07-25 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Amused.] Incisive strategies within, based upon molar observation of the elements.
huaaaaagh: <user name=fontech> (there's just nothing like home cooking.)

[personal profile] huaaaaagh 2016-07-27 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
By the time you finish this book, you too will know how to fight tooth and nail for your survival.
complicatedliar: (grin and a sideways look)

[personal profile] complicatedliar 2016-08-01 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
[This is ridiculous. He is highly amused.]

An aggressive page turner indeed.
