if you bed it, he will come
Who: Sascha & ANYONE
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Everywhere beds lie
When: June
[ Sascha has Learned His Lesson.
One doesn't simply hop into someone's bed while their sleeping and/or naked, because the results in getting kicked in the face. And yelled at a whole lot. No...what one should do is knock first!
...And then hop into their bed while they're asleep.
Lesson. Totally. Learned.
But really let's face it, this guy is an idiot and he most certainly is going to meander around over the course of the month and find those nice, comfy warm beds of yours, Fleeters. SO TRY NOT TO SMACK HIM TOO HARD, he could become even more dumb if you do.
At least he does this with the best intentions right? ]
[ ooc; THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTED SASCHA IN THEIR BEDS. Or anyone who wants him in their bed now. They can be awake, asleep, asleep not exactly in their room--anything! Tag in and he will be there. ]

I don't know what that second word means. [ SCHOOL: NEVER BEEN. But he looks pleased and punch doesn't he :D ]

But then there's also the issue with his own very odd body, which never seems to let him...expire. Not in the way other vampires do when exposed to sunlight or mortal injury. ]

Slightly louder, and in what he thinks is English, Kurt continues with:] Budge over, Sascha. You're making me tired.
no subject
He winds up hanging his head a little in silent guilt until Kurt beckons him and it snaps up. It takes a second or two for him to really process it before he makes a short sound and moves back to let Kurt some room, toes curling. ]
Oh--sorry....

Sascha, do you understand why people react badly to being surprised when they're sleeping?
no subject
...Because they're scared of me?

Then ask while they're awake if you don't mean to scare them. Intentions don't mean a damn thing when you're frightening someone whose instincts are to strike out.
no subject
Well...I mean, it's okay if they do. It only hurts for a little bit, and then I'll be okay.

[Sometimes he's one of those people, but for all that Sascha looks like a grown man (albeit baby-faced) his naivety invokes protective urges. Damn, if Kitty finds out he won't have any room to tease her about her maternal instincts going haywire.]

Even if you just want to be near them...?

Back home, the only time I could get near people was when they were asleep. [ It was the only time they didn't come after him with pitchforks or fire. ]
no subject
And back home, I'm dead. We're not in your home any more, Sascha, or mine.
no subject
You're.....dead??
no subject
Sascha, my entire universe is dead, or will be soon. Why do you think I'm none too concerned about going back? There's nothing to go back to.
no subject
Sascha blanches, hands curling in the bed sheets. ]
But--Kitty comes from there...! [ He has no idea. ]

She comes from several years in the past, Sascha. If Kitty went back to the time she was taken from, she'd have years of peace and another war to go through before everything ended. That's even assuming she forgot everything I've told her to prevent that happening, or remembered but couldn't stop it.

He's used to seeing humans die as he outlives them, but not ones he's become attached to, who treat him kindly and make it seem like each day they spend time with him will lead into another, and another. But not like this. Never like this--he has no idea what to do with this information, because it feels like the shellshock of a sudden loss without either of them actually being gone.
All he can do is fix golden eyes on Kurt and struggle to process what he's hearing. ]
But....you...
no subject
Sascha, listen to me. I am alive right now, my heart is beating and I am breathing. So is Kitty, and I will keep her that way if it's the last thing I do. Do you understand? I won't let her be on that world when it ends.
APPRIOPRIATE KEYWORDS AHOY
He doesn't understand how both can be actual when the contradict one another completely, but the connotations of both and what they inspire in him--fear, hurt, grief, relief, hope--is both disorienting and upsetting. The hands on his face are very much needed and become just enough to shock him out of the worst of it.
Kurt's here and he doesn't want him to go. Processing Kitty will have to come after, because the moment his eyes meet Kurt's and begin searching his face, he can't think to do anything but throw his arms around the poor man's shoulders and hug him close tight--and not to bury himself in Kurt's arms or shoulder or anything like that.
It's so that he can do that for Kurt. ]

Being pulled down is unexpected enough that it throws him off balance mentally. Physically as well, but only for long enough to be pulled down (mutation honed by years of training and war will allow nothing else.) It takes seconds longer for the realization that Sascha is trying to protect him because that's exactly the opposite of what he expected. Trying to defy fate are the dreams of men, not children.]
Sascha, it's alright. [The reassurances are soft, his arms coming up to rest on the other man's back.] I promise it is. I lived longer than I ever expected to, and I.. I built myself a peaceful home and had a wonderful wife to greet me when the day was done. Those are things I never thought I'd have, but I did it. It's alright Sascha, I lived a good life. [He is so dense.]

Sascha likes anyone who pays attention to him. But he also cares about them, and he's starting to form attachments for the first time in his life that he isn't in any way, shape, or form prepared to lose. He wants to see them grow old, not snuffed out before their time. ]
I'm sorry... I'm sorry.
[ Not for the hug, for the hurt or his own feelings. He's sorry for Kurt, because he had to die, because he doesn't have his life anymore; he's stuck here, with someone as worthless as Sascha and the knowledge that he can't ever go back to it. ]
