if you bed it, he will come

Who: Sascha & ANYONE
Broadcast: N/A
Action: Everywhere beds lie
When: June

[ Sascha has Learned His Lesson.

One doesn't simply hop into someone's bed while their sleeping and/or naked, because the results in getting kicked in the face. And yelled at a whole lot. No...what one should do is knock first!

...And then hop into their bed while they're asleep.

Lesson. Totally. Learned.

But really let's face it, this guy is an idiot and he most certainly is going to meander around over the course of the month and find those nice, comfy warm beds of yours, Fleeters. SO TRY NOT TO SMACK HIM TOO HARD, he could become even more dumb if you do.

At least he does this with the best intentions right? ]

[ ooc; THIS IS FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTED SASCHA IN THEIR BEDS. Or anyone who wants him in their bed now. They can be awake, asleep, asleep not exactly in their room--anything! Tag in and he will be there. ]

It means that I'm asking if you have no care for your own life. Again.

[Kurt takes that lack of answer to mean that no, Sascha does not care about his own life and will continue to be foolhardy. Under his breath, he mutters something in German about the lord throwing down brains, or rocks if his aim's good.

Slightly louder, and in what he thinks is English, Kurt continues with:]
Budge over, Sascha. You're making me tired.

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-06-07 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[As he moves to settle on the bed, Kurt's tail comes up to ruffle Sascha's hair. The boy looks so despondent that he has to do something to reassure him.]

Sascha, do you understand why people react badly to being surprised when they're sleeping?

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-06-07 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Not you specifically. Because when people are sleeping, their guard is down. They don't hear you coming, so when they open their eyes and find someone in their bed that they didn't expect, its frightening.

[God he wants to hug the boy.]

Then ask while they're awake if you don't mean to scare them. Intentions don't mean a damn thing when you're frightening someone whose instincts are to strike out.

And if they don't want to be near you any more because you've frightened them? Some people are very protective of their personal space, they don't easily forgive it being breached.

[Sometimes he's one of those people, but for all that Sascha looks like a grown man (albeit baby-faced) his naivety invokes protective urges. Damn, if Kitty finds out he won't have any room to tease her about her maternal instincts going haywire.]

Some people don't want anyone near them when their guard's down. You can't get more unguarded than being asleep without being drugged.

[Creepy, but considering Kurt has to often fight the urge to stalk the people he cares about simply from the desire to be near them without interacting with anyone, he knows he has no room to talk.]

And back home, I'm dead. We're not in your home any more, Sascha, or mine.

Dead. Dying. Obviously neither of those things here, my heart beats too well for that. [As Sascha can probably hear.]

Sascha, my entire universe is dead, or will be soon. Why do you think I'm none too concerned about going back? There's nothing to go back to.

[Kurt's lips press together in a thin line, and his line of sight drops to the bed sheets.]

She comes from several years in the past, Sascha. If Kitty went back to the time she was taken from, she'd have years of peace and another war to go through before everything ended. That's even assuming she forgot everything I've told her to prevent that happening, or remembered but couldn't stop it.

[personal profile] ecclesiophobic 2016-06-07 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Am alive now. [Kurt lifts his face and hands both, cupping Sascha's cheeks in the latter to try making the man focus on the words he's saying. Dammit, he should have known better than to say something like that to the boy. Sascha's made no bones about being completely unaccustomed to acceptance or friendship, of course the idea of losing them even in a vague future would hit him hard.]

Sascha, listen to me. I am alive right now, my heart is beating and I am breathing. So is Kitty, and I will keep her that way if it's the last thing I do. Do you understand? I won't let her be on that world when it ends.

[Kurt's back tenses when Sascha's eyes start darting over his face, because he's expecting the boy to throw himself into his arms, try to hide from the reality of the situation. He's prepared to smooth the boy's hair and comfort him the way he did his nephew, when the child had nightmares and needed pretty lies to soothe his tears.

Being pulled down is unexpected enough that it throws him off balance mentally. Physically as well, but only for long enough to be pulled down (mutation honed by years of training and war will allow nothing else.) It takes seconds longer for the realization that Sascha is trying to protect him because that's exactly the opposite of what he expected. Trying to defy fate are the dreams of men, not children.]

Sascha, it's alright. [The reassurances are soft, his arms coming up to rest on the other man's back.] I promise it is. I lived longer than I ever expected to, and I.. I built myself a peaceful home and had a wonderful wife to greet me when the day was done. Those are things I never thought I'd have, but I did it. It's alright Sascha, I lived a good life. [He is so dense.]
