[While Pinkie has Poe distract Finn for most of the day, this little party pony's hard at work making this the best (and only) birthday this ex-Storm Trooper's ever had! As advertised, the whole ship is decorated bow to stern with streamers and lights and balloons. There's music throughout all the speakers, dancing and games on the bridge, and SO MANY TREATS in the kitchen. There's mild and spicy nachos, salsa, cubes of spiky blue fruit that tastes like cantaloupe, candy, and HUGE birthday cake made from as many real ingredients as Pinkie could get her hooves on. There's also a HUGE punch bowl with Pinkie's best punch recipe, and pre-poured cups of what looks like some blue fizzy milkshake. Knock yourselves out, guys, and help Finn have the best birthday ever since the First Order is made of jerks!]

Good! [Poe laughs.] Well, I did, but I wasn't planning on doing it today. But I sure wasn't going to get in the way of any of Pinkie's plans. She is a force of nature.

[He laughs.] Only if you let me get you something for your birthday when it comes around.

Well, sure. That's what friends do, Finn. [Hey, he likes getting presents as much as the next guy.] I don't think my birthday's gonna roll around for a while, though. Had one not that long ago.

[He nods.]

I said I'd help work on a calendar conversion, but I'm pretty sure it won't work out exactly the same, anyway. You want to help? After the party, I mean.

Yeah, sure, I can do that. I'm not Commander Math or anything, but we can try to knock it out together.

[Anyway. He offers Finn a little object, cubic, wrapped in a nice piece of cloth.]

[He unwraps the cloth carefully to reveal a little cube that looks vaguely familiar.]

Well, of course I did!

[He lets Finn look at it for a minute, then when it's not quite jogging any memories, reaches out to press the subtle button on the side. The holocube activates. The first picture that comes up is Poe and Pinkie, grinning ear to ear.]

[Finn has a brief, unguarded moment where he looks...very vulnerable. His experience with holos is exclusively military - propaganda, almost all of it, and the availability of other media on the network here hasn't made him any less wary. But here it is being used just for him, for him to remember what's really important.
