[While Pinkie has Poe distract Finn for most of the day, this little party pony's hard at work making this the best (and only) birthday this ex-Storm Trooper's ever had! As advertised, the whole ship is decorated bow to stern with streamers and lights and balloons. There's music throughout all the speakers, dancing and games on the bridge, and SO MANY TREATS in the kitchen. There's mild and spicy nachos, salsa, cubes of spiky blue fruit that tastes like cantaloupe, candy, and HUGE birthday cake made from as many real ingredients as Pinkie could get her hooves on. There's also a HUGE punch bowl with Pinkie's best punch recipe, and pre-poured cups of what looks like some blue fizzy milkshake. Knock yourselves out, guys, and help Finn have the best birthday ever since the First Order is made of jerks!]

[Finn hadn't exactly forgotten that Pinkie Pie had decided he should have a birthday, but he also hasn't been paying a whole lot of attention to the calendar. So yes, that's genuine surprise when he hops out of the shuttle and sees the decorations.]

What's--oh! [When it hits him, it hits hard, and he starts laughing so the moisture in his eyes won't look out of place. But when he's done and wiped his face on his sleeve, he looks delighted.]

Where'd you go, Pinkie? I know it was you!

[After that he'll be wandering around excitedly, talking to anyone who shows up and trying not to eat all the food (he leaves the spicy nachos alone because he's tried Pinkie's brand of hot sauce before and he knows better).

[Today is the day she's going to have to admit there is a talking pink pony in the fleet, isn't it? She already knew. Talking pink ponies are hard to miss and she tends to stalk the network, but she didn't have to confront the knowledge. Didn't have to confirm it. Not until today.

But there is cake and ice cream on the line. Priorities. Oh, and because Finn is newish and maybe they haven't talked a lot, but she doesn't know how many people are showing up for him and she figures she can make it one more at least.]

[How did she even--he should be able to sense someone sneaking up on him, sheesh. But after a brief stagger he identifies his assailant and keys down his combat mode, so luckily Pinkie doesn't get flipped to the floor.]

Glad I could help! [She holds something up onscreen, some kind of flower pot, even though it looks just filled with dirt right now.] There's this fruit I found on this world that he seems to really like, so I scooped out some seeds and planted them! Once I've got some garden beds set up, we can transplant them in there and have spikyloupe harvests!

[He doesn't take the present because...he's not actually sure he should hi I'm Finn and how do you normal, but he looks happy to see her.] Look at all of this! Isn't it great?

Aw, shucks! I knew I had to pull out ALL the stops for your very first birthday ever!

[That is a really nice pot of dirt you're getting him.] Spikyloupe? So, like cantaloupe but with more defensive capabilities?

Yup! On the outside it kinda looks like a durian, but it doesn't smell or taste like one, just like a blue cantaloupe!

[She smiles, remembering how touched and confused and did she mention touched she was when people threw her birthday for her in the prison.] It's great. [It's everything she'd expect from a pony with physics-defying noodley arms and then some.]

So, I have this gift for you and I don't want it to be an awkward opening it in front of me scenario if you don't want that, but I might need to explain it. [So maybe it should be. She holds it out to him either way.]

[That's because she's a very good-hearted pony. Finn gives her a quick hug.]

So what all do we got? Give me the rundown.

I'm not sure what a durian is, but I'll take your word for it. [Apparently her parents weren't buying a lot of those when she was little. Assuming they sell them in Chicago. And then the world fell apart and they probably irradiated the part of the world those grew in anyway.] I'm sure he'll love it. All of it. The party, the thought, the gift.

[Having friends at all is still new to him. Having friends who do nice things just for the hell of it is something else entirely. He takes the present now that he knows he's supposed to and unwraps it.]

Well, sure. It's your birthday. [If only they weren't all so short notice!]

It's a picture frame and you can replace what I put in it. [He'll find a simple, sleek black frame with a photo of a dessert landscape.] I couldn't get you a picture of her, but I saw the sun rays and thought it was a good place to start. [Get it? Rays, Rey.]

[Finn touches the photo with a faraway look in his eyes, though he's still smiling. No, it's not her, but it does remind him that there was at least one good thing about Jakku. When he looks up again, his smile widens.]

[Considering Finn saved his life once, of course he considers him a friend! That's just how these things work! And so Sora will show up (though once again without a present- jeez he wished he had more warning!), all smiles when he sees his friend]

[That's totally how it works. Finn motions for him to come on over.] Thanks for coming! Isn't this great?

Yeah, it sure is! Pinkie did great!

Sorry, I just found out today or I would've gotten you something.

Nah, you don't need to get me anything. Just show up, have a good time, tell me if these nachos are any good. [He still has a hard time judging food - it's all better than what he's used to, even the plain protein gel.]

So d'you have a birthday? I mean, uh, do you know when it is on this calendar? We have a different calendar.

He grins] Roger! You got it! [Having fun and taste-testing nachos?? He can do that!!]

Yeah, I got a birthday! But it's not till August- uh, that's two months from now!

August. [The month names are weird, but he repeats it so he can remember.] Got it.

This stuff is pretty good, too. [He grabs a cube of melon that looks like durian but thankfully smells like cantaloupe and hands it over.] I'm surprised she could get so much - food here isn't cheap.

Well of course! That's part of what makes a birthday so special! [He grabs his own cube and pop it in his mouth. Mmm, yummy] You get to chow down on great food!
