4th Blight - video
Who: Riona and YOU! (and no she's not drunk this time)
Broadcast: Yes
Action: On Blue Fish
When: Today!
Note: Somewhat NSFW link in the post. Nothing graphic or trigger-y!
[The cargo bay of the Blue Fish finds itself a bit less empty than usual. The video opens up on gift baskets covering sections of the floor in the bay. Each one has a little tag attached to it, indicating the intended recipient(s) of the basket. The wrapping on top of each basket are a solid color, hiding what’s inside.
The camera jostles as its owner kneels down next to one.]
Not quite what I expected to come down to this morning.
[Riona remains off-screen, save for her hand, which opens up the tag. Her name is written on it, with a little note reading: “To help you unwind.”]
So. Atroma – I’m assuming – has left some of us with gifts. Given the sheer number in here, and that I don’t recognize the names on some of the baskets down here, it appears these are also for people on other ships. I’m on the Blue Fish, if anyone wants to stop by and see if they received one of these baskets.
[ She sets the camera down, propping it up. The new view provides the chance to see Riona tearing into the paper covering her basket.]
I don’t know what is inside, to be honest. I’m not exactly sure what they mean by helping me “unwind”. Let’s find out, shall we?
[ As she reaches in and begins to pull out something, suddenly there’s a vibration ringing out from inside. The young Warden frowns, the book she had grabbed onto halfway out of the basket.]
Not sure if I want to know what that sound is. Let’s see what this book-
[If one has a watchful eye, they may catch a quick glimpse of the book cover***. At least until Riona gets a good look at it, blushes and sputters, and immediately slams it to the ground.]
Maker’s ball, why would they-
[There’s a curse as she remembers the camera is on and her hand quickly covers the lens before the communicator is shut off.]
((OOC: sponsor drop is open to all! Yhe theme is sex toys, books, etc. the gift baskets can be for individuals or for couples. The Blue Fish no longer has the locks on, so characters can wander freely inside again.
***EDIT: damn it, DW. book cover is this: https://i.imgur.com/Ie3Ocnp.jpg))

video;
This is one of those things where, if I show you, you're going to turn beet red, probably stammer, and then it'll be extremely awkward as you try to figure out something to say to break the silence.
video;
...Oh.
[ He's kind of assuming it's a ploy to get him and Riona together romantically, and Maker's breath, but he's getting sick of it. He's getting sick of everyone assuming they're together, when they're not. He's sick of constantly questioning his memories of his own world. Like he must be wrong, somehow. ]
Right. Well, maybe someone else will - uh. Have better use for... whatever it is?
video;
I may pawn it off on someone else. I'm not sure. Or maybe curiosity will get the better of me.
[A beat.]
Did... you want me to see if you have a basket?
video;
[ Y I K E S. ]
video;
Just asking. Not like I can see what's in it. If there is one for you, do you want me to just... toss it out the airlock?
video;
I guess if you find something for me... I'll look at it. I can toss it out the airlock myself.
video;
[She shoots a sharp glare at her basket, which still has something vibrating in it.]
...besides be massively annoying?
video;
Just toss it out?
video;
[Translation: she's curious, too. Warily she starts peeking through it.]
If I could just find what's making that racket...
video;
video;
[As she says this, she pulls out the offending object: a bright pink vibrator that's about the length of her hand. She frowns quizzically at it as it vibrates in her palm.]
...all right, I admit to being stumped by this thing.
video;
I've never seen a color like that before.
Re: video;
[And it's still vibrating. Riona turns it over in her hands, the vibrations pulsing against them a foreign sensation. After no luck finding a way to shut it off, she begins to bang it against the floor.]
