[The cargo bay of the Blue Fish finds itself a bit less empty than usual. The video opens up on gift baskets covering sections of the floor in the bay. Each one has a little tag attached to it, indicating the intended recipient(s) of the basket. The wrapping on top of each basket are a solid color, hiding what’s inside.

The camera jostles as its owner kneels down next to one.]

Not quite what I expected to come down to this morning.

[Riona remains off-screen, save for her hand, which opens up the tag. Her name is written on it, with a little note reading: “To help you unwind.”]

So. Atroma – I’m assuming – has left some of us with gifts. Given the sheer number in here, and that I don’t recognize the names on some of the baskets down here, it appears these are also for people on other ships. I’m on the Blue Fish, if anyone wants to stop by and see if they received one of these baskets.

[ She sets the camera down, propping it up. The new view provides the chance to see Riona tearing into the paper covering her basket.]

I don’t know what is inside, to be honest. I’m not exactly sure what they mean by helping me “unwind”. Let’s find out, shall we?

[ As she reaches in and begins to pull out something, suddenly there’s a vibration ringing out from inside. The young Warden frowns, the book she had grabbed onto halfway out of the basket.]

Not sure if I want to know what that sound is. Let’s see what this book-

[If one has a watchful eye, they may catch a quick glimpse of the book cover***. At least until Riona gets a good look at it, blushes and sputters, and immediately slams it to the ground.]

Maker’s ball, why would they-

[There’s a curse as she remembers the camera is on and her hand quickly covers the lens before the communicator is shut off.]

((OOC: sponsor drop is open to all! Yhe theme is sex toys, books, etc. the gift baskets can be for individuals or for couples. The Blue Fish no longer has the locks on, so characters can wander freely inside again.

[She grins, practically bursting with curiosity, and leads the way to her room, basket in hand. Once there, she sets the basket gingerly on her end table - if there is, as she suspects, a vibrator in there, she doesn't want to inadvertently set it off like Riona did - before perching herself on the edge of her bed.]

[How will Daneel react, she wonders. Presumably, he's aware of such things existing, from what he's told her of Auroran sexuality, but knowing about them and using them with a partner are two very different things.]

[Certainly he's very solemn about opening up the basket, and for a moment he looks into it with a sort of puzzlement -- not because he doesn't know what it is, but because he's not sure what to make of it. He retrieves a bottle of lube and looks at it with a faint criticality.]

Our relationship has been remarked upon, it seems.

Not just us. Seems a good many people in the fleet got such baskets.

Then Atroma actively encourages this sort of association.

[Interesting. Also, not the point. He sets the lube aside and pulls out a vibrator, which is also worth a long look.]

Is this something you would want to experiment with?

[No, it's not the point, though she couldn't blame anyone for being angry about the situation. But she refuses to let Atroma negatively affect her relationship with Daneel.

Her gaze falls on the vibrator, simple, small, and portable, though it's a predictably garish color of pink. Still, not nearly as ridiculous of a thing as it could have been, for which she is grateful. One corner of her mouth quirks up into a small smile as she looks back up at Daneel, trying to gauge his expression as he continues to study the item.]

I would... if that is something you would be interested in as well?

[There are different ways of being interested; Daneel's expression is soft, but generally as passive as it usually is. This presents a puzzle, a new way of relating, a new way of making her happy.]

Of course. I see no reason not to.

[Her smile grows. She didn't expect him to say anything different, but she never wants to assume.]

Certainly. The vibrations are stimulating in a unique, and generally pleasurable way. Such devices are designed to localise the stimulus.

[A clinical explanation, but he's not really sure how else to say so.]

[She has to chuckle a little at his explanation, at how scientific it is.]

Yes, exactly. Not that you're not... stimulating enough on your own of course, but I think it will be fun to explore with it.

[He smiles, very slightly.]

[That little smile of his means the world to her not only because she likes making those she loves smile, but also because it's so rare of a thing for him. She cups his cheek gently for a moment before coming over to settle herself into his lap.]

Well then, let's see what else they've given us, hmm?

[He looks back down in the basket, and retrieves a second bottle. More lube, but this one is labelled for industrial and mechanical use, and he looks at it blankly for a moment.]

This does not seem to be an appropriate addition.

[Oh, very funny, Atroma. Beverly rolls her eyes.]

That's because it's no doubt intended as a joke. A bad one at that.
