[ Nope, it definitely doesn't matter in light of all that meat headed his way. Sascha practically crunches down on a good portion of his shoulder when he sees that in his eagerness to finish up. ]

Ohh... Okay. [ It's not that he thought Bigby would take it away per say, but he thought he should finish it before he started on something else.

Apparently not! Which is even better, so he'll set it down and quickly lick his hands clean. ] Do I have to use a fork and knife again?

[ Incredibly indulgent, wow. Sascha actually blinks for a moment to make sure he's heard right before he nods and goes to reach for the bit Bigby's given him with a pleased sound. ]

[ Sascha beams. Because of the name, because of the ruffle and the gentle touch Bigby uses even though Sascha knows he could bash his head in. ]

Eat your meat. Next planet, we're going to try and find a freezer... you know. We could try and get someone to rig some of the hidey holes we have into freeze units. Get a few freezers for storing up meat. Between us, we can probably pool resources.

Ohh! So we could store more of it right?? [ Sascha perks up at the idea and the thought of being able to help--and then remembers what Nami had told him. ] I have a lot of the space-money now. Can we use that?

Yep. Means we could store what I kill, or what we buy on world.

Yeah, we'd be using the space money. I have an account too, it's how I buy this stuff.

[He gestures their food.]

Do you....do you think I could do that too--kill stuff? Like! Not people. Animals and stuff, for food. [ because he hasn't been actual hunting in a long time, and even hearing the suggestion has him perking up.. ]

Don't see why not.

[He has no problems with Sascha hunting and killing for food. Better than why humans did it so often.]

You don't think anyone would get mad....? Or hate me for it? [ Because those are his biggest concerns: approval, and affection. If it interferes with either of those he's likely to shortchange himself in order to accommodate others. ]

One. Not their fucking business. Two. Don't have to tell them. Three. If they did hate you for hunting, then they're fucking hypocrites and not your friends anyway.

[ It's some of the most earnest, blunt, and aggressively kind information Bigby's ever told him. His personality's too weak to just hop on board with it, but he takes note of the "friends don't care" and knows Bigby doesn't care... Maybe Ino was right; maybe he doesn't need to say something aloud in order to have friends.

Sascha fidgets with the meat in his hands, happily. ]

...Okay.

Good.

[And with that, Bigby's done talking and shifts up a bit so he can start ripping with his teeth.]

.... [ It's a silence Sascha for once won't break, a fond sort of look crossing his features as he turns back to his own meal. His fangs won't actually extend down until he bites into his hunk of meat and the pressure stimulates them, but within a moment or two he'll be tearing into his food alongside Bigby happily. ]

[They sit and eat in silence for a while. Bigby doesn't talk when he's eating, not so much ingrained manners as years of being more interested in eating than talking to empty space.]

[ It's become comfortable and routine by this point, Sascha always waiting for Bigby to start first before he begins on his own. The quiet between them is nice, because he's honestly never really been able to share a meal with anyone before considering his diet. It's nice, and it's a moment he spends in the company of someone like him which is the most important part.

And it's probably why, after a few moments of this? Sascha pauses between bites and looks over at Bigby. ]

....I like you.

[ It's just a statement, soft-spoken and a little thoughtful--but. He realizes he's never told Bigby that before, not directly, and in this moment it feels like...he's not sure. It's just what comes out. ]

[Bigby glances up when he's spoken to, but he didn't actually expect that. He knows Sascha likes him. It's apparent in his behaviour, but he still never actually expected to hear it.

People don't like Bigby. He's not likeable. Even Snow and Blue don't like him, they just accept what he is and what he does for the town.

He tilts his head slightly and settles for something safe.]

Idiot vampire.

[But there's a quirk of a smile in there.]

....Hehe♥ [ It's okay then. With just that fond nickname Sascha finds himself warm and fuzzy, happy, and he flashes a bright smile back in return.

Bigby isn't much for words, Sascha knows that by now. So even just this much from him with what's probably one of the closest things he's seen to an actual smile from the Fable is enough to reassure him--that was okay to say. And Bigby might just feel the same♥ ]
