[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

[Ahsoka leads the way, not caring if Anakin is following or not. She makes innocuous chatter as they go, barely seeming to stop for breath. Ahsoka, it seems, has boundless energy, and doesn't ever seem to stop moving. When they get there, she announces proudly:]

Here it is! One... tiny library. But hopefully big enough for our needs!

[Loki's more than willing to just absorb all that chatter like a sponge. He's curious about everything, no matter how small the detail or how little consequence it seems to have. Really, listening to her just has him smiling, because she's so friendly, it's hard to not.]

It's certainly the biggest library I've ever seen, so I shan't complain. Let us see what we might find...

[He starts browsing through the books, hoping to find mentions of people in his predicament or who look like him perhaps, but quickly gets sidetracked by a physics book.]

[Ahsoka, meanwhile, having no patience for reading, goes straight to the video section. Slipping on some headphones, she flips through the previews until she finds something that catches her interest-- a Jedi action movie. In fact, this particular file was donated to the media library on her behalf last November, but this version of Ahsoka doesn't remember that...

More to herself than anyone else:]

Hang on... this isn't what Jedi are like at all. Did the director even do any research?

What's that?

[He surfaces from the book long enough to wander over to where she is, though he's still holding on to it. What is going on with the screen?]

Who are they? And what are they doing?

[She takes the headphones off and offers them up to Loki. From the looks of it, it's basically an MCU movie for the Star Wars universe: explosions, impossible physics, loads of stunts...]

It's a Jedi action movie. They're usually pretty good! But this one stinks. There's a dumb romance and everything!

[complicatedliar]

[He fiddles with the headphones to get them on, then moves one earpiece off so he can still hear Ahsoka.]

Jedi have their own action films? [...and so this is a film. All right.] So they can't really jump like that?

[resnipstance]

Oh! Sure we can. But these guys are just actors doing special effects.

[complicatedliar]

Why would actors do this when you can do it yourself?

[resnipstance]

What? There's a war on! We can't be on a holo movie set for months on end. We're needed on the battlefield.

[complicatedliar]

If there is a war, why are they making silly films instead of helping?

[resnipstance]

Oh! Because of the clones.

[Suddenly she realises like that might not explain anything, so she follows up with--]

In the Republic we have a clone army, so that civilians don't have to fight.

[complicatedliar]

...clones of what?

[resnipstance]

Humans. Well-- one human, specifically. A man named Jango Fett was used for their template.

[complicatedliar]

Why him? Was he a particularly good human?

[resnipstance]

Who, Jango Fett? No way. He was a Mandalorian bounty hunter. And he tried to kill Master Kenobi!

But-- I guess he was a good fighter, and that's what they were looking for. You know, for soldiers.

[complicatedliar]

[He frowns.]

But what good is an army of fighters you cannot trust?

[resnipstance]

Oh! Don't worry. The clones are nothing like Jango Fett. I mean, except in appearance. They're trained to be loyal towards the Republic.

[complicatedliar]

[Well, it isn't as if he knows how the process works. He can only trusty what Ahsoka says.] All right. I... Hope they are trained well?

[resnipstance]

Of course! Jedi Master Shaak Ti oversees their training personally. And she's the best of the best.

[complicatedliar]

A Jedi trains them? Does that mean they are all Jedi as well?

[resnipstance]

Oh-- no, that's not how it works.

Being a Jedi is about using the Force, and dedicating yourself to a certain way of life. Clones aren't Force sensitive, and they don't have to live by the Code. Being trained by a Jedi just means they have a good teacher.

[complicatedliar]

Oh, I see. So Jedi teach other things, and teach many students who aren't like themselves. That seems... good?

[resnipstance]

Exactly!

Master Kenobi always says that pursuing knowledge and passing on that knowledge is the highest calling of a Jedi. Or something.

[complicatedliar]

To me that sounds like a noble calling for anyone. [As someone who has almost no knowledge, he thirsts for it.]

Master Kenobi sounds very wise.

He is! He was my master's master.
