(no subject)

Who: Loki
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the moon initially, but he'll be back to the Paisley soon, and probably on the Iskaulit
When: June 5 (ends June 12)

Video

[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

Action

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

I honestly don't know. I only know about it from stories, and I doubt they're very accurate. But - mm, probably full of people like you.

[a bit dryly] You let me watch you run the obstacle course.

And that's - normal. You're going to be doing that until - I suppose your memories come back.

Inaccurate ones, but mm. Myths and legends, things like that. [probably because none of them are as honest as Hank is]

More or less? We have different . . . strategies for getting through it. But that goes without saying, since you aren't a big blue guy like me.

[aha. He hesitates] I can tell you what I know?

I honestly don't know. But I did tell you when we last spoke that I wasn't going to base my opinion on you from the stories.

[that does get him to crack a genuine smile] You are. There aren't all that many of us around.

[man, though, how did he get into this] I can only go off my experiences with you, but you are . . . mm, you speak of things in a way to garner a reaction. You are understandably wary of this place, but that's how most people are, I think. You've told me that I shouldn't be speaking to you, but you've also been kind enough to me that I don't see why I should stop.

[a shrug] That obstacle course is your creation, too. But other than that - we've only spoken a handful of times, so I don't know you very well.

I thought it'd be more fair. I certainly wouldn't want anyone basing their impressions on me because of a story.

[it's going to be so awkward later, you have no idea]

That's . . . yeah, more or less. One of your nicknames from the stories is The Trickster. But - I don't know how accurate it is.

You should, it's - mm, engaging. I prefer it to the gym.

I imagine they're not entirely objective, that's all. [a shrug] Stories usually aren't.

[watch them run into each other by accident, as per usual]

It's entirely possible. It may make more sense once your memories return.

Ah - [you're like a five year old] It - fits my style of fighting better.

There are things that are meant to be, but being truly objective is incredibly rare. [even as a scientist there are times where he can't be completely objective about something, after all]

I'm . . . not entirely sure, to be honest. You're able to move the course around to better suit, which is what I tend to do when I use it.

[he blinks, then shakes his head] You made it before I arrived.

Mm, if you want to look at it that way. [he follows Loki's look and raises his eyebrows] Are you going to give it a shot?

It is fun. Just - uh, be careful?

[in his own amnesia experience, the loss of memories comes with the loss of skills, so he isn't sure if that's the case here, especially since Loki's already demonstrated some of his magic. But hey - better safe than sorry]
