[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

[ He laughs softly. ]

No. I mean that discovering the shape of the new is a fascinating endeavor. I've never really felt the newness of things.

[Thoughtful, he places another kiss on Leto's jaw.] I suppose even I am not new.

[ He trails his fingers down Loki's face. ]

You can feel it. And I feel it through you.

[He sighs softly, eyes closing at that touch. He wonders, a bit, if that is the real reason why Leto has decided to kiss him and be kissed by him. Though is there anything wrong with that, if it is? He would like to feel wanted for himself, so to speak, but is such a thing possible when his self is an unknown?]

[ Softly. ]

Speak your mind.

[Curious rather than accusing:] Is this why you have decided to keep me with you, rather than sending me away? So that you might have a sort of left-handed newness?

[ If he's bothered by the question, he doesn't show it. ]

Do you believe that?

[Slightly amused.] If I believed that, I would not be asking it as a question. It occurred to me as a possibility.

[ Leto clicks his tongue. ]

As a possibility, it does exist. It's not the first time people have said that of me. But no, that's not why. I'm here for you.

Then my question has been answered.

[He laughs, smile twisting a bit wryly.]

I think I find it strange that you would be here for me, when me is a thing ill defined.

Even when the words escape us, it does not change the heart. You are standing here in front of me. What other definitions do I need?

[Perhaps he shouldn't be so moved by the words, but he is. It feels very good, actually. So what seems natural punctuation for that statement and the warmth it spreads through him is to kiss Leto, quite firmly. ]

[ He laughs softly as he kisses back, his thumb curling lazily near Loki's neck. ]

[At this point, he's content to kiss Leto as much as he may. There is probably more to this, though he isn't yet certain what, other than going back to Leto's talk of deformities and the like. Idly he brushes his fingers over Leto's neck, then finds the line of his collarbone through his shirt. Another sort of exploration as well.]

[ His expression flickers, vulnerable. The wormskin is strange, even to the Fleet. He's seen the way people look it over. ]

[He stills his hand, flat against Leto's shoulder.] Why look you so?

Ah. I was wondering if the wormskin bothers you.

Why would it?

It . . . is a strange symbiote grafted to my skin.

[He doesn't know enough to be bothered by such things. Or rather, he could either be bothered by everything, or choose to be bothered by nothing until he knows that he really ought to be. Surely Leto knows this.

Which makes him wonder if that is not actually the point. Another question, then. He moves his hand to rest against Leto's neck again, thumb idly stoking his jaw.]

Is it that you find it bothersome and thus think I ought to as well?

It is . . . [ The skin has always been a point of contention. Strange, twisted part that he has never fully reconciled. ] Shouldn't you?

I know not whether I ought or not. If you believe that I should, then I suppose that I shall. [He kisses the corner of Leto's mouth.] But as this is how I know you, I should not like to be so bothered.

[ He chuckles. ]

It is your decision. I simply have a hard time letting go of it.

[He considers this.] If you wished me to hate it, I would. But if it is part of you, that would be far more difficult. So I would rather not.

[ He shakes his head, bemused. ]

Fair enough.
