Who: Loki
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the moon initially, but he'll be back to the Paisley soon, and probably on the Iskaulit
When: June 5 (ends June 12)
Video
[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]
Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]
I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?
[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]
And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?
Action
[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.
Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

You know what, he's seen enough weird shit here to take that in stride, more or less. But h u h.]
Well, that's something. Need somebody to show you your room, or are you just exploring the place?

[He snags a cookie for the road and heads for the door, leaving the rest for whoever wants one. Even mediocre cookies are better than no cookies, and snacks don't last long around here.]
FYI, I'm Kirito. I do the engineering, so if anything breaks, let me know.

It is nice to meet you, Kirito. Do things break often?
no subject
Maybe not often, but it can't hurt to give you a head's up. Sometimes the mechanicals need a good fine-tuning, and if it doesn't get noticed in time, that's when stuff goes wrong.

Oh, I see. Preventative.
Do I have a job like that?
no subject
[Resident lurker? Theon-deterrent? Uh.]
...You're supposed to listen to crew issues and grievances, I think.
no subject
...am I not terribly good at my job?
[That's disappointing. He wonders why that is.]
no subject
[Oops, that was unintentional. He's not used to being gentle with a guy like Loki.]
Maybe we just don't utilize the service? I'm not really comfortable with it.
[Which is not a lie, at least.]

Anyway, don't worry about it. I'm sure if we really needed the counselling, it would be mandatory.
[riiiiiiight that's likely]
no subject
All right. So not a particularly useful job at all, then. Hm.

[He's probably playing with fire, but at least he's not making Loki do anything now, right?]

[Besides magic and smiling creepily, he honestly doesn't know.]

...I'm also quite good at reading?
no subject
[Probably the least helpful suggestion ever, but it's the first thing that comes to mind.]

For some, there's a language barrier? I mean, there are a few books that are written in other languages, and they don't get auto-translated for whatever reason. So there's that, if you know how to translate stuff.

[He stops at a particular room, lifting a hand to point.]
This one's yours. Your office is right by it, so poke around all you want.
no subject
[Poke around he shall. He heads into the room first.] Thank you, Kirito.

Wrap? Since it's getting a bit long in the tooth...
