I will holding training sessions for those who want to learn to defend themselves or fight, and those that want sparring practice or to learn new forms of combat. This is limited to hand to hand and melee weapon use due to our surroundings.

Training will be held daily between 9am and 5pm, located at the gym on the Iskaulit although for those who are more confident in their abilities it can be moved to the obstacle course. First come first serve for those wanting tuition.

Wear appropriate clothing and bring whatever liquids or food you require for the session.

[True to her word Mystique is found at the Iskaulit gym throughout the week, and when she is not training with someone she is doing her own practice during her hours there.]

[She wasn't actually planning to take Mystique up on her offer, but as Kitty spends a lot of her time training on the Iskaulit and ends up sleeping in with her boyfriend many morning, it was only a matter of time before she ended up at the gym in the 8 hour block her fellow mutant had carved out.]

Missing a student?

[Currently unoccupied and by training by herself, Mystique was making the use of one of the larger sandbags propped up in a way so she could treat it like a full body target. She held a knife in her hand, having taken it from the kitchen upon the Golden and was practicing strikes that would normally be aimed at vital parts.

At the sound of approaching footsteps and Kitty's voice, she shifted her hold on the knife in her hand, letting the flat of it rest against her forearm before it seemed to vanish from her grasp and she turned to the other mutant.] For the moment, yes.

[Before asking,] Are you here to fill that requirement, or are you needing the facilities?

I was just planning to use the facilities. I can use the obstacle course if you have someone coming in. Otherwise, I don't mind the company.

Considering there's more than enough room for us both I'm sure we can use the same space without being in each other's way.

Sounds like a plan. [But don't expect her to be quiet?] So, what made you think to offer your services? Trying to get a better read on people's capabilities?

[There was a glance to Kitty, it almost reading as a 'mind your own business' mixed with a level of annoyance at that type of question as... well, that was something she had considered. However it was replaced with a sigh as she moved about doing her own thing.] It's one of the few acceptable skills I have to teach in this place, and it passes the time. [There, that was a safe answer.]

[Kitty heads over to the punching bags and does some stretching before getting into it.] Sounds fair. Seems like only a few of the jobs the assigned us take much time and kind of get done whether we do them or not. Which augment did you get?

Security. [Was there a point in hiding it? Maybe only because it gave her a chance to be armed, but sometimes having people just knowing she was carrying weapons was enough to stop a situation from escalating.

And sometimes the opposite.] So far it doesn't seem to offer much in the way of jobs.

No. That one seems like it probably has the least going on. The security officers on my ship are extra serious about it though. Not sure how she manages that.

How so? [Bar her own privacy, Mystique wasn't overly concerned regarding her own crews security, though she certainly hoped they wouldn't invite attack or infiltration. She still wasn't really 'part' of the crew, mostly keeping to herself, despite the time she had been aboard the Golden.]

Just keeping regular shifts seems like a lot to me. I'm not sure what all she does on them. Check and recheck all the weapons? [But it's still more than her occasional piloting which she now splits with Ordis.]

[Well Mystique is not one to argue that, she had done the same thing herself early on in her arrival, checking and rechecking their armory multiple times. Now she at least was able to reduce it down to twice a week, just enough to satisfy her paranoia.] I see. I also believe the Fleet has been under attack before so it makes sense to be prepared.

Once at least. Not fired on directly, but driven from what I heard. [It is an interesting topic to her. She'd like to know more about what happened and if it was all part of the ratings plan or something else.]
