They're not the ones you should be worried about. [She's got the advantage of Captain, certainly, and while she might not be magically endowed she is trained in the art of survival at all costs. No, she has no idea who the space-Templars would even be, and suspected they weren't even here in this world, but having seen his abilities released in such a careless and rampant way put her on edge, and her intimidation tactics are flaring up in full force. A moment after the words leave her mouth, though, her expression relaxes (a fraction), and she's stepping back.]
No, I won't be telling anyone.
Action
Honestly as intimidating as Furiosa looks with her near permanent scowl, Adalwolfe isn't frightened by her at all. Well, maybe the prospect of space-Templars, but not her threat of more personal violence. Still, it's really not a great way to start off with your captain by undermining her authority so he chooses not to grandstand about how she can't make him wet himself or whatever she was intending.]
Thank you.
[He lets out an honest sigh of relief.]
I don't usually run through the forms without casting. They were taught to me initially not just as a way to defend myself, but a way to focus my magic so I was expected to cast as I went. It won't happen again here, I do understand the danger.
Re: Action
You might want to practice it. [Running the forms without casting.] Small enclosed space like this, you could just as easily hit a friend as an enemy.
Action
[He's never been this careless with his magic before. Hiding it was of the utmost importance for most of his life and while he's chosen to reveal it in times of need before, to have cast by accident is disconcerting to say the least.
He furrows his brow trying to piece together why he could have made such a stupid mistake but all he comes up with is a general blanket 'I'm stressed.' Which is ridiculous. He's been stressed beyond this before, much much worse in fact, and not lost any control over his casting then. Here there's just a layer of general discomfort brought on by certain interactions with certain people he cares not to name even to himself just at present, but it's certainly not more stressful than watching his city get taken over by angry Qunari or waking up to a hole ripped into the sky. What gives?]
I'll get right on that. Practicing, I mean.
Action
Good.
[She sets the pipe aside.] How's your hand to hand?
Action
[He sets his own pipe aside as well, assuming she's going to turn this into a lesson in weaponless combat instead. Serves him right for being careless.]
Action
Well. Might be time to put your short pants back on. [She sets herself in a defensive stance and waves Wolfe to attack.]
Action
With a sigh, he adopts a similar stance to hers, ice-colored eyes narrowing just a bit in scrutiny. She waves him in but he takes his time, judging what little he'd observed of her with the makeshift staff before his mind had wandered.
The obvious thing would be to go at her disarmed side but with how she'd handled the pipe with relative ease, Adalwolfe gets the feeling that not only would she expect that, but she knows how to handle someone trying to take advantage of a perceived handicap. Instead, he steps in on her right with his arms up like a boxer, ready to guard his face and go in low at her side should she throw a punch.]
