[ Unexpected hugs like this from Kitty are what drive home how much he likes her, how important she is to him, and that maybe--just maybe--he isn't as bad as he's come to believe. If someone as amazing as her would want to embrace him, is he so bad? ]

[She leans her head on his shoulder because her head feels awfully heavy. Her whole body does as it wants even more sleep.] Happy is good.

[ Oh, man. Oh man this night can't possibly get any more amazing can it? Sascha curls his fingers in her shirt lightly and swallows, nodding in agreement. He is most certainly, undeniably...happy. ]

[With anyone else there might be some touch of concern here that she's in bed with another man who she's sitting very close to, leaning on with his hand curled in her shirt. It doesn't look good? But it's Sascha and she's still a little out of it from the concussion and waking up. But mostly just because it's Sascha and she doesn't see him that way. She doesn't expect him to see her that way either.]

But you're never mean to me, Kitty. [ Not the way he sees it. He's become so used to the worst of humanity and how they see creatures like him, that anything less than that is the greatest kindness he could experience. Even the fact that she doesn't want him dead makes him feel special and important, because that certainly isn't the case back home.

Being snapped at is nothing compared to what he's been through. ]

[ A, aww... He'll help keep her upright at least? For a little bit, anyway. He'll wait until her breathing has evened out completely before he moves to lay her down with great care and brush just a tiny bit of hair from her face.

Sascha's expression is nothing short of fond as the tips of his fingers brush her hairline. ]

[The concussion isn't bad enough that it would keep her from being alert if she needed to be. So, the fact that she stays asleep as Sascha lays her down shows how much she's come to trust him.]
