Good. Yeah... Were you on the Iskaulit that day too? [Vague but also, not much has been going on with the fleet of note. An attack on that scale kind of stands out. And if Kitty ever got a full report of everyone involved the concussion helped to soften and blur those memories.]

[Yeah, Wanda knows immediately to what Kitty's referring to. She sighs, crossing her arms. It's not that she minds talking about it. She just can't help but wonder how exactly this will reflect back on Winter.]

Yes, I was there. I arrived a little bit late, but I was there. You fought with him then?

Yeah. I fought with him. Not sure where I fell in the line up, but someone had already taken out his arm. [And there was at least one victim she saw, but she was sure there had already been more. That little girl wasn't the one who left him looking like he did.]

It was a little more intense than our sparring match. [Understatement.]

I- I am sorry.

[For several things. Sorry that she hadn't gotten their quicker to help. Sorry that Winter had gone berserk like that in the first place. Sorry that she didn't have an explanation for it. And sorry that this whole situation has likely soured a lot of peoples' opinions of Winter.]

Hey, you didn't have anything to do with it. Neither did Winter for that matter. The Atroma are the only enemy here, but we already knew that. [Well, the only enemy in this situation at least. She can't really speak for all of the Fleet but her experiences have been good so far.]

I'm more embarrassed he landed a hit than anything. You know how that feels when your power is intangibility? [She smiles a little.]

[A relieved expression crosses Wanda's face when Kitty mentions that she doesn't consider what happened to be Winter's fault. That had been Wanda's biggest concern. That people would misunderstand what had happened and start to consider Winter some kind of monster. She nods in response to what Kitty tells her. However, when Kitty mentions her power that sparks Wanda's interest. She remembers their first encounter on the dying moon.]

So, you can phase through anything then? You can let a punch go right through you?

Pretty much anything. [There are always exceptions, but she doesn't like giving a list to people for reasons. Though in general it tends to be a surprise.] I can be extremely annoying to spar with.

And still he landed a hit?

[Wanda knew Winter was formidable, but... wow. After all, it had taken both her AND Steve to subdue him.]

It happens. I can't stay phased all the time. [But even then she's a well-trained, experienced fighter so getting a hit in isn't exactly easy. She had sparred with Winter before and he was formidable, but like he was that day he was just driven.] I couldn't really tell you how it happened. I came out of it with a concussion. I don't remember the hit or how we left things. Just that we were separated and I was trying to tend to the bleeding.

[Wanda sighs. The guilty look returning to her face. She recognizes that none of what happened had been her fault, or Winter's for that matter. Still, had she and Steve gotten there faster, perhaps they could have kept the number of injured down.]

Did he say anything? While you were fighting?

Silence. I was trying to get through to him. Hoping to jar him out of whatever it was. Didn't get there. Maybe it couldn't have been done. [Or maybe it would have just taken someone who knew him better.]

[Wanda nods her head. It had been the same when she and Steve confronted him. Even Steve's presence only seemed to give him pause for a fraction of a second.]

Whatever it was that happened... I do not know if it is something that is easily undone. Only time seems to cause it to wear off.

Or the Atroma releasing him. Unless you think it's something that happened without their interference? [That would be worse, wouldn't it?]

[Wanda sighs, her eyes searching. She did not have all the information--at least, not yet. She had clues though.]

I think it is both. Something that was put into his head before he even arrived here. Something that the Atroma somehow knew or found out about, and something they apparently decided to take advantage of.

You think they triggered it this time but maybe next time will be different?

I don't know.

[She wishes she had a better answer for Kitty.]

Whatever it is though-- whatever made Winter act that way, I do not think it is something that happens just by accident.

Have you talked to him about it? Maybe he knows the trigger? Of course I'd understand if he didn't want to hand it out.

[Wanda shakes her head. It had been a while since she last spoke with Winter, and even then...]

He's not really the talkative type. About anything really.

Good point. I have noticed that about him.

Does he talk to Steve?

[A shrug.]

Your guess is as good as mine.

Right.

Well, anyway... Were you here visiting Vision?

[At that, Wanda's notably seems to perk up. Though, she had naturally been concerned for Kitty, and it was important to her to make sure her friends were all right. Their conversation had caused her to totally lose sight of why she had come to visit the Windrose in the first place.]

Oh! Yes, I had almost forgotten what I'd came here for.

[Kitty smiles.] I'm sure he's around here somewhere. I won't keep you.

[There's something about Kitty's smile... it felt familiar to the way Wrath had referred to her directly as Vision's "special friend." Like, somehow, everyone seemed to know all about the feelings she'd been harboring but trying to hide. Clearly, she must not be doing a good job at all... She almost feels like she needs to say something, but decides that would seem more obvious. Instead, she just tries to seem nonchalant and smile back--though the slight shading of pink in her cheeks might give her away.]

Yeah, I'll... go see if I can find him again... or reach him on the communicator.
