[Wrath's very excited about having so many of her friends around. While she likes showing off the Windrose, she decided the Iskaulit would be a better place. There are plenty of spare rooms not far from the mural where she can set up temporarily, and this way she's not taking up her ship's dining area and making things difficult for her crewmates.

She's got snacks lined up--including more dried bacon kelp--and an array of good drinks. Officer Snuggles, released from his tactical fox vest, is hanging around in the hopes that some ~~sucker~~ kind stranger will feed him under the table.

A deck of cards is waiting, and she managed to find a box of game tokens that should work well during one last trip to the moon. Everything's ready.]

That would probably be it.

I wonder if it's kind of a hurfdurf-y thing maybe. [Now that she's thinking about it.] Like, instead of telling someone you like them, you just call them an asshole and annoy the shit out of them. But I think it also works better when people are shooting at you or dystropes are trying to eat your face or whatever.

Fighting is a healthy part of the relationship, so long as it doesn't get out of hand.

[ Charles and Erik fight a lot, though they've been together for a long time now. They know how to pick their battles. ]

Yeah... do you mean like friendship-relationship or like relationship-relationship? [Squint.]

[ He considers this thoughtfully. ]

[She nods, giving that a moment to turn over in her brain. That makes more sense, now. Though she's pretty sure things with North had never really gone like that for her, friendly or even not so friendly arguments. It had always been more like... getting lectured because she was a fuckup. Which was fair, because she was. But, she decides, it's probably a symptom of the whole Wrath should never do relationship-relationships ever again thing.]

Do you ever call Erik an asshole?

Is he an asshole? [Considering who her closest friend were in Proles, being an asshole isn't exactly a negative. More a neutral personality trait.]

We both are. I just hide it better.

I'm M.I. Everyone in M.I. is an asshole. [Seriously, do people think she isn't? Well, she does do that thing where she smiles all the time.]

Well, I wouldn't know. I haven't spent that much time with armed forces.

I don't know if you had the M.I. back at your time anyway... but you'll just have to trust me on it, I guess.

That seems easy enough.

I wish you could've met all my M.I. family. [But they're all dead now, so. Yeah. Happy thoughts. She can think about the good times with them.] I think maybe the reason I like Erik so much is he kind of reminds me of Envy. But like. Not in a weird way.

Erik does give off that vibe.

[ That scary soldier vibe, though Charles finds it harder to reconcile these days. He hasn't forgotten, but he has a clearer picture of it than most people. ]

Yeah. So I like being around him cause I just kind of relax even if I don't mean to. [Shrug.] And then I remember that he's not one of my M.I. brothers and that's when I feel weird and get nervous. It's dumb. [Because it means she actually worries about if he likes her. That... normally doesn't bother her quite that much.]

You should just be yourself. If Erik doesn't like something or approve, he'd just say so. He's not one to beat around the bush or let you embarrass yourself.

[Being herself is a rather fraught statement with the things she's been mentally grappling with lately. None of those things have any place here.]

I got that feeling. It's... really nice. Not quite like being around Winter or Tenno, but close.

He seems like the kind of person who does what needs to be done. That's important.

[ His expression flickers, despite himself. ]

Yes. I imagine it is.

[Yeah, she saw that, Charles. She might not be the brightest, but she's pretty observant. With great deliberation, Wrath reaches over to poke Charles's nose.]
