Who: Wrath, Winter, Beverly, Charles, and Erik
Broadcast: None
Action: on the Iskaulit
When: June 4

[Wrath's very excited about having so many of her friends around. While she likes showing off the Windrose, she decided the Iskaulit would be a better place. There are plenty of spare rooms not far from the mural where she can set up temporarily, and this way she's not taking up her ship's dining area and making things difficult for her crewmates.

She's got snacks lined up--including more dried bacon kelp--and an array of good drinks. Officer Snuggles, released from his tactical fox vest, is hanging around in the hopes that some sucker kind stranger will feed him under the table.

A deck of cards is waiting, and she managed to find a box of game tokens that should work well during one last trip to the moon. Everything's ready.]

I wish I had gone through the mind... at least I wouldn't have to be wearing a corset.

How far back did you go?
dancingmd: (talk to me)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-28 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
About five hundred years - 1893.
axiomed: (Just having you there)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-28 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
That's impressive. I didn't think anyone could travel back so far.
dancingmd: (who do you think you're kidding?)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-30 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
To be honest, we didn't exactly do it on purpose. I'm just glad we all made it back.
axiomed: (You're a victim of like a meaning)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-30 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
How did it even happen?
dancingmd: (now what)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-30 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah.

[She laughs.]

That is a long and complicated story. Will it suffice to say simply alien technology? To be honest, I'm not a temporal physicist so not all of it makes sense to me, even though I was there to see it in action.
axiomed: (Falling out of love with you)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-01 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it can't be any stranger than people traveling back to their past selves using a mutant ability.
dancingmd: (coffee and croissants)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-01 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Or any stranger than being kidnapped to another universe to be on a reality show in space?
axiomed: (Our way through)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-01 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose there is that. Though the kidnapping part seems to be mandatory for these omniscient creatures.
dancingmd: (chinhands)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
So I've gathered, from the discussions I've had with other people who have been in a situation like this before.
axiomed: (You mean nothing to me anymore)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-02 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Though the idea of a reality show seems absurd, it doesn't mean it's not believable. All the creatures I've met had a fascination for observing humanity. And other variations.
dancingmd: (thinking)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I'm perfectly willing to believe we're here for their entertainment. I know more than one species both capable of and willing to do that.
dancingmd: (mmm hmm)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm. For a long time I thought Atroma was one of them but... I'm not so sure now.
axiomed: (And we really cared)

I can count the ones I'm familiar with off the list. This is not their preferred means of . . . play.
dancingmd: (you know i'm right)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
The ones I know do prefer a little more in-person gloating.
axiomed: (The games the fun)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-03 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
[ He nods, rubbing his palms. ]

I have picked up on that trend.
dancingmd: (point)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-03 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Granted, Diamond and Beau used to address us much more often than they do now. Makes me wonder.

I've yet to see Beau or Diamond. Have you talked to them? I'd like to take a look.
dancingmd: (captain crusher)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-06 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
They rarely let us talk to them, but I did once.

[...]

I may or may not have accused them of being soulless slavers.
axiomed: (What have I done)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
[ Dryly. ]

It does get straight to the point.
dancingmd: (quirk)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-07 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Wasn't exactly the most productive of things to say though.
axiomed: (You mean nothing to me anymore)

[ He shrugs. ]

We all get carried away. Erik wouldn't have been as polite.
dancingmd: (coffee and croissants)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-08 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[She glances over at Erik and raises her eyebrows. Not going to lie, she'd be more than happy to see that.]

Maybe he'll still get the chance.
