(Marsiva's hospitality cannot erase what Maedhros has endured. He is dressed cleanly and his hair is braided neatly and away from his face. Even his burns have been healed with minimal scarring. But there is something untamed in his eyes.

Strings can be made from animal gut too. (Gross.) I would set myself to the project, but he would be better suited to it.

He might have already gotten one for all I know. I haven't spoken to him in a bit - we had some situations come up and I've been busy.

I'm the current captain of the Tourist, but it's not exactly as full time a job as you might think. Otherwise, I'm an engineer on the ship, and if people need it I help fix their tech around the Fleet.

I will be part of the Security regimen, I believe. (Anyone who has the courage to face him in combat has to either be impressive or crazy.) I would be more comfortable with a sword, I admit, but I am curious about these...guns.

If you like, I can show you how to work them. The Augment you have should have given you the information, but I think it's always better to learn from someone than rely on the Augments entirely.

I would be grateful. (He has one at his side and he picks it up, one handed.) I...am lacking my right hand. Will that interfere greatly?

Not if we find the right one for you to handle. It might making aiming for you a little tougher, but with practice you'll find the way that works for you.

Do they come in different sizes?

We have a couple of models to choose from. The smallest are light weight and fairly easy to use, so I don't foresee a problem for you learning and handling them.

If they are too light weight, I might break them. (He has the one hand, but his grip can crush bones if he so desires.)

It'll be fine. The guns can handle more than you think.

I will take your word for it. (He sighs and leans against the wall.) Is it common for passengers to be revived from death?

I can't really say. But considering that Atroma has the power to pull from a multitude of times... it wouldn't be out of the question that it pulled you from moments before and then healed you.

I felt the flames - (Rescued in the nick of time?) I wonder if I should be grateful to them.

I suppose that depends on your outlook of the situation. I am not sure when or where you will be returned to, if you ever do go home, so it is entirely possible that... well, you will be returned to right where you were.

(He smiles bitterly.) A far worse fate for Kano. (He doesn't fear for himself.)

How do you keep track of the days?

We have calendars, but in space days - at least where I am from - are usually split into "shifts". They're equally split, so it's like day and night, just without a sun. Where I am from we count days in 24 hour periods though, not precisely the rise and set of the sun, which is what seems to be the timeframe here.

I think it will take me some time to adapt to not seeing the sun. (While Elves hold the Moon and Moonlight as more precious, he does like the Sun's fire.)

We see it sometimes, when we stop at planets. This last one not quite so much but a planet with a clearer atmosphere will have plenty of sunlight.

I fear it will not be the same. (There is sorrow in his tone.) What of the Moon?
