Would anybody be interested in joining an Augment Support network? Like, for people who need help getting the hang of their augment and want to ask a veteran, or for someone who learns something new and wants to share it with their peers.

I'm fine with doing the all the administrative work if anybody is interested being a mentor, or would like to be available for a help line. Or if someone would like help connecting with someone who has more expertise.

I think we all have a lot to offer each other.

Heh heh, I guess so! Seems like that's a boat that gets a lot of passengers here. You'd think they'd prefer to pull in people with an existing understanding of this technology, but I guess that's not part of the criteria.

Yeah, I guess not. Then again, maybe there aren't many really really good engineers they CAN take. And it gives us a chance to practice, right?

That's true, but don't you get nervous? There's so much stuff on this ship that can go wrong. And it can kill people if we get it wrong. I mean, I just don't feel comfortable fumbling around with stuff when I don't know what it does.

Well, when you put it THAT way, I guess. Buuuut if you don't give it a try, how will you know how good you are?

It would be really nice if we had a demonstrative model of the ship's engines, actually. Something people could actually learn on without putting anyone in danger. I wonder if something like that can be done...?

No, I think we'd have to do it ourselves. It can't be too difficult, right? We just look at what's in the engine and build a model of it. [he knows nothing, his head is empty]
