[At long last, the fleet has arrived to a new planet. This means it's time for a mingle guys! Get in! ]

[Poe raises his drink in a salute, grinning.] Best shore leave I've had in years.

What the heck are you doing? Haven't seen you around much.

[When he gets close enough, Finn plops down on the next lounge chair and stretches out.] A lot more hospitable than the last place, I'll tell you that.

[He flashes a pouch full of the odd, acorn-like currency.] Got a sales job at a weapon shop. Figured since there's not a conversion rate for the credits we got, I ought to at least earn enough to buy some resupply while I'm here. What you been up to?

It's nice to be out under an open sky without a mask, that's for sure. Some of this place reminds me of home. Well, not the beach, but the forest.

Flying tourists around a bit, then using my credits for drinks and some excellent food. [He grins.] Not a bad life, eh?

I like the forest. And the people are real friendly, too. [In fact, he waves over the nearest drink attendant, has a quick, friendly handshake, and gets his own drink order in.]

Not bad at all. So what's good to eat?

It's not so different looking from Yavin 4. Though all the animals are really different.

The pastries are my favorite so far. I hear good stuff about the soup, but it's too hot for that.

Like your home. [Finn glances back at the treeline for a long moment, then settles back into his beach view.] If it's as nice as this, I definitely gotta visit.

Don't tell Pinkie, but I found an all-meat restaurant and it was great.

Definitely.

Oh hell yes. You have me beat. You gotta show me where that place is.

It's not too far from here, if you don't have dinner plans. The servers bring out these swords with roasted meat on them and they slice you off a little bit. It's all fire-grilled and they got these sauces--

[he's interrupted by his drink coming, so he continues once he has that settled.]

Anyway, if this is how people eat all the time, I'm starting to see why they think ship food isn't that great.

Any dinner plans I had can wait. [Grin.] Always wanted a cute guy to take me out to a meat palace.

Enjoy it while you can, buddy.

[Finn does a double-take, luckily not choking on his drink. Did Poe really just say that?] They call it a steak house, not a meat palace. But the waiters are pretty cute.

Oh, I'm planning on it.

[He snickers.] Meat palace, steak house, same difference. And cute waiters are a bonus, but they ain't the one's taking me there, so you're still my favorite cute guy.

[Finn regains enough composure to roll his eyes, though he still looks a bit mortified at being called "cute".]

You'll definitely like it, then.

So--how are you liking all this hand-holding stuff?

You had me at meat. The rest is a bonus.

[He shrugs.] Everyone's friendly. Kind of nice, honestly. What about you?

[Finn takes a drink. He's still sort of getting used to alcohol in general, but it's sweet and cold and refreshing, and that's what counts.]

I like it a lot. Maybe it's that people who're having a bad day know to keep to themselves, but it's really--I don't know, relaxing to have everyone open like this.

Hadn't really thought about it like that. But yeah, I agree with you there. And I feel like I'm fitting in okay since I'm a generally happy guy.

[Finn grins.]

Probably why we get along so well. I like being around someone who's happy.

So, you seen those little slug things yet?

...slug things?

[That would be a no. He's been sticking to the beach and his fill of alcohol to start.]

Fluff slugs, they call them. They're some kind of mascot around here, real cute. You ought to see if you can find one of the little pet shops and check them out.

Fluff slugs. Okay. That sounds... cute? [The fluff bit.] I'd better. I miss having animals around.

They say they're pretty easy to keep as pets. We could get one for the ship, if you end up liking them.

Think the captain wouldn't mind? [They're not exactly on a combat mission, so that sounds kind of nice...]

[Finn snorts.]

I don't see why she would, but I'll check. They're pretty small.

Maybe we should get you one. You never had a pet before. [Look, that doesn't even need to be a question. He knows Finn was a Stormtrooper, it's pretty obvious.]
