Thanks, bro. [ he's more than a little apprehensive about touching people on this planet, but he still claps cisco on the shoulder and pulls him in for a pre-adventure selfie! ]

We'll call this one the 'before' shot. [ he lets go of cisco before anything but excitement can flow through. ] It's one small step for nerds - one giant leap for nerdkind! Let's go, let's go!

[ he hasn't been this excited about playing outside since...ever. ]

so I couldn't really find maps but we can go near the beach and then the forest should be next. I heard people say there are hot springs somewhere which - awesome! I mean, this is basically the space version of Hawaii.

I've explored the beach - beach is awesome.

But hot springs sound perfect, I bet Kitty'd love that -

[ that settles it! he has to find them! ] after the last hellhole we landed in, we deserve Hawaii.

Right. This expedition is set, we shall find the hot springs and then you can take Kitty there and - ok I don't want to know anything beyond that.

[ getting his phone out. obviously, this requires dramatic music ]

[ too many people know way too much about their love life, he's more than fine with cisco not joining that circle. at the same time, though, it'd be kinda nice if he could actually talk about his relationship with someone. ]

I'm thinking break out the epic movie soundtracks. [ he starts whistling the raiders march from indiana jones ]

well, there's a trail - and to think I packed wheat solids so we could have crumbs.

Definitely the best use of a wheat solid. We need to stock up on food that doesn't taste like cement. I mean, I was down with making awesome space food but I'm running low on creative junk-food ideas based on that stuff.

[ the forest around them is thick even at the beginning of the trail, the air heavy and warm ]

I bet they could have filmed a decent space-Tarzan here.

I'm stocking up on anything the Tourist can carry. [ he nods ] Going back to those gels and cubes is gonna be depressing.

They could have an entire movie industry based just in this jungle - which, they clearly need if they're that desperate for entertainment...Oh - oh look - is that a monkey! [ pointing at a small figure hopping from tree branch to tree branch ]

I swear man. It may not be Jitters and fries but eating something that doesn't come on a wheat solid? my week was made, hell my month was made.

You don't think they get much bigger, right? because seriously, man, I have paid my dues when it comes to giant gorillas.

[ space food was so depressing that between his lack of sleep and lack of eating he was starting to look sick. he feels so much more like himself now. ]

I dunno -- but that may be a story for when we're outta the forest. Maybe we should have done more research with the locals about what to expect in here...
