[Misty, too, has to find a way to make a few acorns, and while she can put her healing magic to some good use, the fact is most people here seem to be pretty healthy. So she picks up a job as a waitress at one of the bars. Despite never having done such a job before, she doesn't find it too difficult because people here are just so friendly. It's easy to get along with them. At the end of her shift, she comes to sit near where Makie's playing, just to listen, like she does so often on the Windrose.]

[Makie directs a smile at Misty as she sits down, playing through the rest of her set. She's at ease here in a way she hasn't really expressed anywhere else; the odd friendliness here is bizarrely comforting. Here, Makie finally feels completely in her element.

...kind of hilarious how having acorns tossed at you is a sign of approval, isn't it? At least they're carefully aimed at the floor in front of her. She gives the room a bow at the end, then crouches to sweep a handful up, coming to sit by Misty.]

I think I like it here.

Me too. I wish we could stay forever.

I'd like to bring Lilly here, I think. [She gives a faint smile of amusement.] Though she might strain the patience of the locals.

Nah, they seem to like kids a lot, from what I've seen.

Lilly might be a special case. [Come to think of it, Lilly mightn't like the locals getting in her personal space. Disaster in the making, that one. She hides a smile.]

She's rather a special child. But the people here do seem tolerant.

Guess you have to be, when you can feel what everyone else is feelin' all the time.

[She hesitates.]

I'm making quite a lot of money, playing in the inns. It's nice. I thought I might try buying a few things.

[Her eyes light up.]

Ohh, you wanna go shopping with me then? I sold a few of my potions so I got some acorns too. I was thinking maybe I'd get a new skirt or something.

[That isn't where she was going with the conservation, but after a moment's surprise... well, why not?]

You know, new clothes might also be nice...

I must say I don't mind the clothing styles here. Even if it's so different to home. [She only has three kimonos.] If you'd like the company?

No I ain't got any plans at all!

I'll be relying on your good judgment. [Though she says it with a smile.] My experience with clothing styles is somewhat limited.

Oh but you have such beautiful kimonos! I'm sure you know more than you think.

[She laughs softly.] But I'm not familiar with anything outside of Japan at all. I can foresee getting overwhelmed quite easily.
