Oh, um.... [ MAN that is a kind amount, it's just that meat in general is expensive. So. Sascha will just ask the shop keeper for something a little less than that, and wind up with a nice piece of...what could one day be a roast. It's not quite skinned enough for that, but Sascha doesn't mind. WRAPPED UP INTO PAPER IT goes, pay the nice man for your dead animal Winn. ]

Here you go - [ he pay the shop keeper and steps back - he forked over the cash, you take the hug, sascha. he's just going to step away before he goes from extra pale to green. ]

[ He will gladly do so!! This is the most romantic thing anyone's ever done for him, except not quiet because Ramse and Bigby have already done this as well. He just didn't get to choose his meat when it came to them--but hey!! His first real shopping, and Sascha's going to hug the bag to his chest like Winn's just won him a present at a carnival or something. ]

Oh, umm.... I was thinking I'd ask it for a big steak for Bigby! Because he's always giving me food, but I don't have any to give him. [ Hush Winn you agreed to come on this adventure with him!! ]

That's really sweet. But you know, you can just buy him something in the market - don't you want something for yourself?

...? I don't need anything though. I already made friends. [ As in, that's the only thing he could ever want--and he's already started getting more and more of those. How could he want anything more than people who don't hate him? ]

I'm not talking about something you need - I'm talking about something you want.

[ he has to want something for himself. it's such an important step in building self esteem, in getting over the kind of abuse he's been put through and learning, in time, to see himself as a person and not a lapdog, begging for any scrapes of attention he can get. winn knows that feeling, knows that step, and he just really wants to see sascha take it. ]

Is there something besides friends that you always wanted to have while you were wandering around Marseilles? Or maybe something from the village you were in - were you given something that you miss? Like, I for one miss my laptop with a passion. most of its functions would be uselesss here cuz we got no internet but I'd still love to have it. Everybody wants something, Sascha.

I...dunno. [ He's never thought about what he could want beyond companionship in any form, good or bad. He's wanted to have people to talk to be and around more than anything for so long, he can't really remember a time when he didn't. Even now his biggest wish is for him to keep the friends he has and not be seen as something to be hated.

Sascha wracks his brain hard, but only comes up with; ]

Well, if he cares about you half as much as you do about him - making you happy is a pretty good way to accomplish that.

But I've never wanted anything but friends before...

Well, we got the whole hike over to figure out what'd make you happy. If your friends were up to doing anything - what'd you want to do?

It means it's not real, basically. You know, of course people have limits, but for the sake of the conversation, we're pretending they don't.
