wolfuncaged: (It doesn't matter now)

[Kirk, you know him so well. This does make him feel better about the general....touchiness of the entire blighted planet. Besides, with all the crap Wolfe left at his door, he could use the chance to release some pent up aggression. ]

Already done.

[He starts down the path, swinging that stupidly enormous sword at anything stupid enough to get near him. ]

I heard there were dinosaurs here.

[ Well, they are shipmates. And he thought it would be a good thing to lean how not to make you angry, Fenris. As it is, though, he's happy to have you for a bush whacker and stays a respectful distance behind to let you swing to your heart's content. ]

Hmm, that's accurate though I don't know if we should really call them dinosaurs. They look like it for sure, but... well, what the hell, they're dinosaurs. Carnivorous, too, so watch out for them.

[ A pause, a puff of a laugh. ]

Or you might enjoy it.

I have fought dragons in the past, those are much more troublesome. Dinosaurs or not, there are less likely to breathe fire, ice or toxic slime at us.

[He DOES sound amused, though.]

Admittedly, I might be missing the thrill of such a battle these days.

I don't know. Depending on how smart they are and how they hunt, they might be far more annoying. At least you can see a dragon coming.

[ He hummed as he followed behind. ]

Guess our sparring sessions aren't quite doing it for you?

[ There's not hurt in his voice, rather a slight upset that he cannot seem to help Fenris. ]

wolfuncaged: (What the hell is wrong with me?)

[personal profile] wolfuncaged 2016-07-04 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
You would think you could see a dragon coming, wouldn't you? That is something a normal person would think.

[It;s hard to tell if he's just being extra bitter or if it's just his regular level of bitterness. He waves a dismissive hand. ]

They are fine, but I can't kill you. I'm fairly certain that would count as a mutiny.

[Also he likes you, he guesses. That too :| ]

Actually it would count as murder and mutiny at the same time, so two charges, and the first with potentially varying degrees.

[ He's gotten used to your weird, cranky ways of talking, so he doesn't let that particular comment phase him. ]

I would think it would be hard not to see something that large coming.

There we are then. Rather messy, all things considered.

[It's the best way to handle, Fenris, really. ]

We were attacked by one outside some mines, back home. It came out from behind the mountains.

Well, I am glad that you need true and proper motivation for such a thing. Helps me sleep better at night.

[ It just seems better and easier to roll with it, really. ]

Okay, I guess that's one way not to see it coming. But surely that's an exception to the rule.

wolfuncaged: (And this child I would destroy)

[personal profile] wolfuncaged 2016-07-07 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
You have little to fear. I wouldn't kill anyone in their sleep.

[Maybe. ]

Sometimes. Dragons often come from nowhere. That said, they were supposed to be extinct, until they suddenly weren't.

Oh, good, I can put my gun somewhere else than under my pillow at night then.

[ He senses the maybe. ]

Nature has a way of surprising people like that.

wolfuncaged: (Did it end while I was gone?)

[personal profile] wolfuncaged 2016-07-08 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. It would be rather uncomfortable and largely useless anyway.

[Can't shoot what you can't hit, after all. ]

That it does. It is why the century we currently live in is called the Dragon Age.

[Title drop.]
