[At long last, the fleet has arrived to a new planet. This means it's time for a mingle guys! Get in! ]

[He grins proudly, paddling in-place.]

It's okay! I love my sweater.

[He's still got it; in fact, it's carefully folded up nearby, sitting with his gun and his bulletproof armor; good times, man, good times. His smile softens a bit, into something a little sadder.]

I'm kinda mad the Atroma fixed it, 'cus it lost all the spots my mom fixed for me; I miss her a lot sometimes...

[Something flickers across Dezel's expression. He's never really known what a mom or dad was. Seraphim don't have parents... but he does feel for this kid, as much as he would rather be an emotionless stoic asshole, and he can kind of get why the kid's so attached to his mom.]

She's still with you. If the sweater fell apart now, you wouldn't be able to wear it at all.

[He smiles shyly, ducking his chin into the water 'til the water is up to the blushing on his face. But when he overcomes his hesitance to talk too much and get kinda' sad, he's right back to swimming laps around the guy. Iron will! Determination! He's remembering how to do this!]

That's true! I just wish I had something to remind me of her, sometimes!

'Cus I might not ever see her again, and that's really sad to think about... But I have her all in my memories, too! As long as I get to remember her, I'll be happy! And maybe she'll be proud of me today, as long as I remember what she taught me...!

[He tilts his head back, and some of his long hair dips into the water of the spring. He lets Takeshi swim his little heart out. Kids will be kids, after all.]

The locals say there's a tree that will grant wishes.

Wishes?! [huff] Any wish [puff] you want?!

I don't know if you get to choose, exactly. But they keep saying it'll give them gifts if they hold hands.

[He shrugs.]

Maybe you can get something that reminds you of your mother.
