[At long last, the fleet has arrived to a new planet. This means it's time for a mingle guys! Get in! ]

[ Hermione shakes her head, fighting back her smile as she looks around, drinking things in. None of the plants she'd seen so far had seemed familiar enough for her to risk using in a potion, and she might have ended up wandering back to the Vanquish if she hadn't stumbled over a stranger. At least something good has come out of this. ]

I'm fine, really, thank you. I was just distracted - I was trying to find some herbs.

[ Which, she thinks, might make her look like a complete loon. ]

[There's no judgement in Anders' expression and he holds up the small pack that was full of leaves and roots of all kinds.]

I've found plenty, just have to know what to look for and what to avoid. Plus, I had some inside help from the man who owns the place I'm staying in, he used to know someone who made potions from the local herbs.

[He smiled.]

[ Hermione steps forward, glancing down at the herbs before she softens. None of them look directly familiar, but she's sure she can see a handful that mirror some of the more common plants in her own world, and it fills her with a little bit of optimism. ]

I've been searching for some that matched things I had in my own world. I did the same thing back on the moon but the only thing I managed to scrape up there was some rather nasty looking Wolfsbane substitute that I don't even need anymore.

[ Since Remus was gone and all. She brightens, though nodding her head. ]

I'd love to. Can you tell me about what you've found?

[His smile brightens. He'd always liked Herbalism.]

Of course! I started this search because I thought I recognized elfroot, a common plant for poultices back home. [He points it out where a patch happens to be growing nearby.] I'd recommend taking some if you're looking for something with healing properties.

Let's see, as for the rest... [He pulled out and laid down the various herbs and roots he'd found, some of which he'd been told how to find and some he recognized on his own, whether as the exact thing or something similar.

He relayed what each was good for to her and what he suspected the others would be good for.]

Obviously, some trials will need to be done for the more questionable ones, but I think this is a solid start. I've been collecting the seeds as well, just in case.

[ Herbology hadn't exactly been her passion, but she'd had to pick it right back up again once she had been dropped into the Drabwurld. ]

I've heard about elfroot! Nasrin told me about it when we were having tea together in the other world - it's a little bit like some of the plants I know from home. Healing properties would be very useful. [ Because she can make gentle healing potions for her crew, but it's not as if she can make it from thin air. It makes her curious to look for her own handful, especially if she can grow her own.

Luckily for the both of them, Hermione is a quick study - she always has been - and she's taking note of all the things she thinks might end up being incredibly useful once she's back in the lab and doing her own makeshift potioneering. Turning her head to look at Anders, she smiles, obviously far happier now than she was before. ]

We should see if we can turn a part of the Iskaulit into a greenhouse of some kind, especially when we go for weeks without finding a planet that has any kind of useful herbs. Having a steady supply would be incredible.

[He smiles back, more than a little happy to find someone else who shares this passion.]

Sounds like an excellent idea. And it'll assuage the ever-present boredom to have plants to tend to. I planned on having a few in the clinic onboard the Three Twins, but it would be a good idea to have some in a more central location.

With enough on board, we could make all the potions we need and then some.

I'd be able to transfigure some things to make it a proper greenhouse style place, at least, and we can collect supplies from the planet before we set off again. I'm sure some of the people here will have seeds and we can easily carry dirt up from down here back to the ships. We might get some odd looks, but...

[ Hermione smiles, lifting her head and trying not to beam. She likes having something to do, something to focus on. ]

It'll be enough to keep us well stocked until we hit the next station.

[He beams back, glad to have something to do, something he can focus on as well. Something that isn't the disaster area of his life.]

I'd love to watch you 'transfigure' these things, I've never seen someone do that kind of magic before.

I could show you it now, if you'd like?

[ Hermione smiles, leaning back and reaching to draw her wand out from up her sleeve. ]

It wouldn't be any trouble.

[A wand? He catches himself staring at it and snaps his eyes back to her. A smile and a gesture for her to continue covering for his confusion.]

Please, absolutely!

[ His excitement is a little infectious, and Hermione smiles before she fumbles around and takes a pin out of her hair, moving and putting it down. Then she focusses, and flicks her wand at it, leaving it to transform into a pencil - one she picks up and offers out to Anders. ]

It's only a little thing, considering what we have around us, but...
