[It's been so much harder than she's ever been willing to let on, to have been immobilized again. The constant anxiety and maintaining an outwardly positive attitude as much as possible has left her feeling perilously detached from reality in some ways. So this is a reaffirmation of her own reality as well as an affectionate gesture. One of the first things she had to learn after being discharged was how to reach out and find a new way to be okay.

But I'm here and you're here and everything is gonna be okay.

She's glad, so very glad, that Charles is all right. Looking better than ever, really. She'd been worried about him, and she'd missed him--talking to someone over the network, even having them sit next to you when you can't look at them straight on, it's not the same--and she's so relieved, so glad to see him. She hadn't been kidding, when she'd said she loved him.]

[Him rubbing her back doesn't hurt, and doesn't make any of her muscles twinge. It's a small thing, but an important one. Beverly really did fix her.

Hopefully it was the right thing to do.]

Yeah. I got a physical therapy list a mile long and Kurt won't let me forget anything about it, but Beverly fixed me right.
