Who: Tohru Adachi and YOU!
Broadcast: Video (to all)
Action: The Marsiva
When: Right now!
[The first thing that could be heard as the network feed clicked on was someone yawning rather audibly. This was followed quickly by the sight of a suited individual sitting up and stretching out his arms.]
Man, I haven't slept for that long in a while. Usually the guard-
[Adachi quickly cut himself off as he realized that he clearly was not where he had been when he fell asleep. Instead of the four plaster walls that he'd grown accustomed to, he now seemed to be in a large, spacious room filled with all sorts of amenities. He couldn't help but draw the comparison to Junes. But then... how the hell could he be back in Inaba?]
[His detective instincts started to kick in, despite their lack of recent use. First thing: assess yourself.]
[Adachi looked down and was surprised to see his old detective duds. The dark gray suit, white button shirt, and red tie all looked as good as new. Odd, considering how often he had worn this particular outfit.]
[Second, assess the environment.]
[Well, this was already partly done. He clearly was in a completely new environment. Could it be... the other world? That didn't seem plausible. He certainly didn't remember going near any TV, nor did he remember anyone coming along who could have possibly thrown him into one. Noticing a nearby monitor, Adachi got up out of the bunk and approached it. He placed his hand on the peculiarly cool screen and felt resistance. He clearly wasn't going inside this one. And that's when he turned and saw the large viewing bay window.]
What the heck?! It can't be!
[He appeared to be in outer space. Yet, somehow... this realization didn't unsettle him as much as he thought it would. In fact, once the initial shock had worn off, he almost seemed comfortable with this fact. But how? He returned to his initial bunk and went back to step one: assess yourself.]
Okay, it doesn't feel like I've been drugged. Though, if I'm really in the real world, then I shouldn't be able to...
[Sure enough, as Adachi concentrated and tried to summon him, he realized he couldn't.]
So I'm clearly in reality right now.
[He rubbed the back of his neck as he came to terms with just how surreal this was all seeming. And that's when he felt the soft bump, located behind his left ear.]
Eh? What is-
[Yet again, however, he seemed to already know what this bump meant. It was as if he'd always had this information stowed away, but he was only now rediscovering it.]
An "augment," huh?
[That's when he noticed the communicator located next to him. Picking it up, he inspected the device front to back. Just like before, he already seemed to know what it was and how to use it.]
Well then...
[Step three: Assess the situation. Adachi directed his attention to the screen in front of him.]
Um... hello? Anyone receiving on this thing?

vi-day-oh
I take it from your response that what's happening is apparently nothing new? People just appear here all the time out of nowhere?
vid-EYYYYYY-oh
But yeah, we get people coming in like this all the time. It's pretty confusing, but once you're on your ship for a while it just gets kinda boring.
I say EYYYYYY-oh VIDAY-EYYYYYYYY-oh
On "my" ship? So I'm not currently on the right one? Wait- I get my own ship?! I can't pilot something like that!
DAYLIIIGHT COME AAAAAND ME WAN GO HOME
But yeah, we all wake up on that huge ship you're on, but there's a bunch of smaller ships that the rest of us are on. You'll be ending up on one too pretty soon!

You mean, like a planet? We've been to a bunch of those already. [ sorry Adachi, where this kid's from, earth is an element and his planet actually has a name. ]
no subject
[This is an outer space reality show. That would suggest it's possible for certain individuals to be aliens, but Adachi had expected them to look... well, less normal.]
no subject
[ which only fed his confusion. why would you name a planet after an element that's just weird. ]
I'm from Aselia.
no subject
[Adachi pauses briefly to consider.]
So this... place... gathers people from all over. Not just Earth. But why? I mean, what's so special about us?
no subject
...I dunno-- honestly, I don't think anyone here knows either. And they don't just grab people from different places; they grab 'em from different times too.
[ and this concerns Lloyd considering the only thing that's capable of doing such a feat is Origin, who's... currently bound to him and Sheena. ]

[ especially when it involves bringing people back form the dead. ]

If they're able to mess with timelines... what does that mean for everyone back home?
no subject
[ the more he thinks about it, the more he feels frustrated at everything. he tries not to let it show, since he's talking to a new guy. (hint: it's not working) ]
no subject
Well, is there some trick? Some game we have to play to get out of here? Why keep us here for no reason?
no subject
I dunno, but they're always saying stuff like "remember: the worlds are always watching!" or whatever.
no subject
But what's the point of putting us on TV? Is this like a game show? Are we supposed to overcome some kind of weekly challenge or something?
no subject
I don't know about "challenges"-- we just do whatever, on the ships or on the planet we're stopped at. Sometimes we get asked questions about what we thought about stuff, but that's all we have to do.
no subject
[Admittedly, that sounded pretty boring. Was this even really a TV show? How could anyone find something so stupid entertaining?]
no subject
[ he's with you on the whole "boring" thing. ] It's not so bad though! A while back, a friend of mine and I ended up making some robot arms that fight each other with swords and made bets with the whole fleet on which one would win.
no subject
[Adachi says the word with as much biting cynicism as one, who has actually earned that title, would.]
Robot arms huh? Well, I guess that's one way to keep yourself entertained.
no subject
I guess. I mean, we already had someone kill another one of the crew, but the guys keeping us here didn't do anything. [ last he heard, anyway. he's kind of in the dark about specific details THANKS KANEIS ]
MURDERS ARE MY TRIGGER!
[He's feigning shock and fear. Inside, Adachi is thinking that things just got a whole lot more interesting...]
WHO WANTS TO TALK ABOUT ~~~MURDERS~~~
[ he knows for sure that Kaneis did, after he told Lloyd "not to worry about it" which only served to piss him off because you never tell a shonen here to not worry about anything. ]
The guy that was killed came back to life anyway, last I heard. [ which freaks him out because WHO CAN JUST COME BACK TO LIFE oh wait Mithos did that kind of ]
I DO!
[And Adachi's interest level only builds further. He's still feigning shock and disgust, but inside...]
And the victim... came back to life?! How is that even possible?
