Oh. [Not a hopeful, curious "oh" so much as a cautious one.] That can fall under be careful what you wish for. In the prison there were mood-altering pearls. I had one that was making me happier without realizing it was doing that. It sounds like a good problem to have, but it wasn't. [Especially not after the withdrawal.]

We'll have to test these ones out. I don't know if they work on everyone in the same manner but I've seen the natives walk around with them, they seem to think of them as pets.

Well... They are kind of cute. [She peeks into the box curiously. There are times her paranoia and mistrust is very deep seated and it's a surprise when other people don't think the same way she does. Then there are other times when it feels more like something she's wearing because it's familiar and comfortable. Because it's who she was more than who she is now. That person is a lot newer to her and she doesn't always know what to do with her.]

Me? I'm good. Healthy. [Throwing that bit in because the last time they talked she was bleeding from the head.] I like this planet a lot more than the moon. It's a much better place to be abducted.

[ a nod. the moon has been interesting, certainly but the masks were a painful reminder of the days of the war and the inability to jog or travel or eat normally has become tiring after a few days. this is certainly better, the salty air and the constant sound of the ocean, a large breathing entity. ]

I was always kind of a city girl, but just seeing so much life and beauty is a good thing. [Her world had been so broken and ravaged. Maybe she wouldn't like a planet like this forever, but she likes it a lot right now.]
