→ MARGAERY ( OPEN | JUNE )
[ she finds that this planet agrees with her far more than the one who came before and far better than life at the ship. There is warm weather to enjoy and open land filled with green forests, the stalls at the markets are filled with food and fruit. most of margaery's socialization, however, shall not take at the markets but rather at the little forest clearings, filled with wildflowers as they are. she might be seen walking there nearly every day, donning on the gowns from home and always returning with fresh flowers in her hair or in little bouquets.
it reminds her of highgarden, in a way and she is all too eager to experience it all before it has to go away.
those who wish to join her and innocent bystanders who might find an arm laced in theirs before being dragged into one of those summery walks, might find that she brought food with her from the markets, wine and fruit, mostly.
flower crowns and playing tag in the flower fields would fill her days. you might see her smiling more often than ever. ]
[ she has never been to the seaside.
there is a soft breeze there and a wonderful salty scent that speaks of summer and freedom. she will take to spending the early mornings there as well as the late hours where the sky will turn from pale to darker blue. you might catch her with her feet in the water at first and at others, you might also be dragged - running into the line of the clear blue water.
it's all playful, of course. the sand is warm and the water's clear, what else does a little queen need? ]
[ for anything else! ]
→ WINN
[ it's simply one of those kinds of afternoons. the weather is warm and the air smells sweet and margaery takes her usual walk from where windrose is docked to the wide slopes of grass filled with wildflowers but this time, she is not on her own.
they have much to discuss, her and Winn but surely anything less than wonderful can wait a little. she doesn't seem to mind the way the ends of her gown get a little messy when dragged against the ground near the vendors. ]
oh look here -
[ she all but runs, dragging him with her to a little stall just near the forest offering a verity of candy apples ]
I think they are apples, what do you reckon they did to them?
no subject
chuckling softly at her enthusiasm, he allows her to drag him along. ]
Looks like candy apples - they're coated in sugar, at least they are back home -
[ he holds up two fingers to the vendor, indicating he'd like to purchase two, and hands her one before handing the man his money (and getting an undesired hug to go with his change. and he thought he and kara were huggers, sheesh!) ]
Let's try it together - on 3 - 1 - 2 - 3 - [ he licks his apple and lets out a jovial laugh ]

[Two pretty ladies, out on the town. Or, well, one very gorgeous lady and one who would be pretty if she didn't look like she didn't just roll out of bed. A minor exaggeration, with emphasis on minor. Riona's look is harried, and she feels rather out of place besides Margaery. But it took so much for her to work up the effort to even come along, let alone put any effort into her appearance.
Still, she tries to put on a smile.]
Feels a bit more like home here. Their apparel is quite simple, but it suits the world around them, I think. [Her voice is quiet, and she nearly winces at how it cracks once or twice.]
no subject
[ she doesn't comment on her appearance nor does she ask questions. Margaery knows that some things women like to keep to themselves, at least for a while. instead, she tucks a few of riona's curls behind an ear and smiles ]
It is very pretty here, is it not? I feel renewed. The lack of warm air was dreadful, I did miss being outdoor so - those dreadful masks at the moon made the entire affair a hassle.

[ sansa asks from a healthy few feet scarce of its edge. with fistfuls of skirt bunched in her hands, she holds her hems just shy of the sand. she still wears her slippers, clearing harbouring no intention to wander into the water as margaery has done.
and yet she's curious. ]

[ says the girl running barefoot in the water, minding very little that her gown is already soaked at the ends, she makes a face at her. she is so very careful, this one, Margaery knows and understands. Life taught Sansa Stark caution and restraint and Margaery, she does try to undo those little knots, one at a time with love and care and laughter and silliness. ]
I do reckon I might need a second opinion. Mayhaps if you try you could tell me.

A real crown of metal was much heavier, she recalls but brushes those thoughts aside and busies herself with finishing her current work. She does spot her and after a few moments, turns to her. ]

→ CISCO ( OPEN | JUNE )
[ so this was a good time to complete the ice cream machine, obviously. the heat and the beach make the machine a much needed addition for the atmosphere so those who want to take out some ice cream to their walk by the seaside or the markets, need only come to the blameless and ask nicely. They only have two flavors so far, vanilla and peanut butter but it's better than nothing, right?
ask nicely enough and he might make yours look like a flower, ok. ]
[ so beach means one thing right? board shorts and cisco might be seen in a pair sitting at the beach, just by the water and enjoying the heat. occasionally, he will have some of that ice cream with him but you could find him with some fruit from the markets, eating and enjoying the time of leisure.
if you're lucky, you might find him there with a soda, singing this as it plays on his phone ]
[ for anything else! ]

So - how did you come up with peanut butter as the second option? Aren't the two basics vanilla and chocolate?

[ ok so one of the first things he notices about the beach ( except for the awesome water fluff slugs and the fact that they're awesome ) is the carnival. he sees the ferris wheel from afar and a closer inspection shows that there are classic ride, humble but downright cool when you consider they're on a different planet. there are even little stalls that offer plushies. he never really was the type to be able to throw balls at bottles and knock them all but he does spend an hour there learning the technique ( for science and research, mind you ) before going back and daring to shoot hermione a message ]

→ STEVE ( OPEN | JUNE )
[ so admittedly, after the time spent wearing gas mask followed by the entire awful mess created by the atroma, the change of scene is welcome. there don't seem to be many troubles on this planet, the natives seem happy and satisfied with their lives and the peaceful atmosphere is more than appreciated.
it also gives him a chance to go back to a habit he has grown to miss. during the early hours of the morning, Steve Rogers can be seen jogging by the beach in his training pants and a t-shirt. unless you have some sort of super speed, it'll be a little impossible to catch up with him but he'll slow down for the second round.
sometimes, after that, in a sort of a last-minute decision, he'll lose the t-shirt and go for a swim, not minding the cooler water of the early hours. emerging, he'll spend his time watching the ocean and looking at the different sea-shells.
when the afternoon changes into evening, you might find him there, sketching the horizon line ]
[ he makes himself useful. for a few hours a day, you could see him carrying boxes full of goods for the vendors and helping them setting up stalls. he refuses most of the money offered in return.
you might catch him at the part of the market that contains flowers, staring at the different choices as if the best one would present itself to him.
he's overthinking this entire 'get some flowers for a woman' thing but you're more than welcome to pitch in and help ]
[ ok so even the most professional girls would like a cute, fluffy pet, right? right.
one warm summer day, you might find steve rogers at the outskirts of the forest, standing still and staring at something a few meters away. come closer, and he'll raise a hand, no sudden movement.
he has his eyes set on one of the creatures for some time snow and he might be holding a little box.
don't tell me you didn't want to see captain america capturing a cute ball of fluff. ]
[ for anything else! ]
A;;
A weight off his shoulders.
Another thing the planet is good for is the unfamiliar scenery. Sure, he's come across these things in passing or the rest are hidden in hard to reach memories. The beach is his favorite. There's something calming about just watching the water roll in and out, and the crashing waves drown out a lot of residual noise. The colors are beautiful once day passes, and he doesn't have to think about anything if he doesn't want. Not even being a person or keeping up appearances.
Winter doesn't even mind that his back is exposed and the sounds of approach are muted by sand and waves. Which is how he finds Steve in his venture to find a spot to sit.
The sight of him sketching is nostalgic in a way that he doesn't get the opportunity to feel much anymore. Some things are certain in his memory, and the ones that stand out the most are Steve is a very talented artist and Steve used to draw a lot more.
He tries to be quiet on his approach and lowers himself into the sand a yard or two away so he can watch both the sun sinking into the horizon and Steve capturing it. ]

and at the shore, this morning, she finds a wide flat rock to sit on while he jogs. sometimes, she watches his figure bobbing in the distance, miles away. sometimes she watches the water turning blue then orange than blue again. sometimes she shuts her eyes and breathes in the salt.
by the time he finishes his run, she has collected a tidy pile of pretty rocks -- all worn down by time and seawater alike. and a bit of driftwood, too. the heap of mismatched souvenirs reminds her of childhood trips down to poole and to southampton. ]

it's much nicer to jog when you're actually going somewhere.
when he sees steve pass by, he doesn't even try to catch up with him - the guy doesn't need to be a super soldier to make that an impossible task for winn. instead, considering the date and everything he knows about the man, he decides to use his wit to slow him down.
he stops in his tracks and starts singing the star spangled banner at the top of his voice. the rendition is a little shaky, as he hasn't given himself a chance to catch his breath before starting, but still pleasant enough to listen to. ]
