Kirk jerked his chin and set off at a brisk jogging pace. ]
Something tells me I'm never going to be quite as fast as you, Captain. But I'm sure I'll learn to live with that.

He follows, matches their speed so they can talk ]
I'll never know space the way you do, I think that makes us even.
[ it's a nice day to be out, with the air crisp and cool and the sun only beginning to rise ]
I can get used to this planet, I've missed this.
[ jogging, clear air. ]

Tell me about it. I love space, don't get me wrong, but nothing quite beats fresh air and real sunshine.
[ He huffed a laugh, keeping steady pace with Steve though his face dripped sweat from his exertions, though his mouth was turned up in a delighted smile. ]
You know the funny thing? Kara and I had been shooting the shit, wishing for a planet like this - and lo and behold.
[ He waves his hand around, like a magician performing a trick. ]

[ said as he runs by his side, easy as that. before the serum, steve rogers was never really able to run without collapsing in a fit of coughs, a big soul trapped in a sickly body. it's not something he ever lets himself put aside, the memory, it helps him appreciate what he has now. ]
Maybe the Atroma listen to you.

[ He looked him sidelong, grinning slyly. ]
Oh? And what do you offer in turn for the power of my entreaties to the Atroma?

[ he's a simple man, despite the entire captain america glory. he doesn't quite spend most of his credits and in all honesty, tends to forget about the ratings. it might be nice, however, he thinks. a change.
especially when the days on the ship are usually never-ending, a difficult routine to keep when one expects war to come knocking at any given time. ]

[ That got another laugh out of him, even as he made a show of pretending to think on it. One couldn't give in to easily during negotiations now could they? ]
Well, all right, I think the seems fair. But I get to choose the restaurant.

[ a smile as they run, the beach stretching in front of them, early morning washing over it, changing the color of the water from grey to deep blue. Steve as a suspicious he is going to miss this planet ]
All's ok on your end?

[ Kirk isn't even suspicious. He knows he will miss it. Something blissful like this - he has a feeling it will be a somewhat rare occurrence and should be enjoyed for all it's worth right now. ]
Yeah, for the most part. Just the usual problems with living in fleet made of kidnap victims. But I have sand and sun and good company now so I won't complain much.
