[She makes a so-so gesture with her free hand.]

In a way. It resembles it far more than the last few places have, at any rate. You'd find more furs in Ferelden; it usually runs much colder than other places, given how far south we are. Hardier foot wear, too.

[Leliana always liked to disparage the all too practical footwear in Ferelden. It certainly wasn't pretty, but it suited the climate just right.]

It is quite a nice change of pace from the moon. I dare say I'll be a little sorry to leave this place when the time comes. There's quite a lot here.

[The trees were wonderful, and the people and whatnot. But what sold this place to her was the ocean.]

At some point, I must take a swim in the sea. I've missed the saltwater.

Is it? That would explain the Starks' preference for furs, then. [Mystery solved.] You're not missing out on much, save for ice skating and snowball fights. There's a distinct satisfaction in hearing your opponent shriek as snow trickles down their back. Or seeing a snowball smack someone you particularly dislike in the face.

[How many times had she lobbed snowballs at the snot-nosed little squires that used to like to tease her?]

Furs do lend themselves to a certain elegance, don't they? I doubt I pull it off as well as you envision, but I do miss some of my heavier dresses from home.

[Her mouth drops. What?!]

You've never been to the sea? Oh, Margaery, that's a travesty. Were you not near a coast?

[Robb's name lances pain through her. A contributing factor to her melancholy has been learning of his fate back in Westeros. He never said it word for word, but given the hints she'd heard and his own sorrow, and what he had said, was proof enough. It hurt a lot, to know someone she considered a friend had only death waiting for him. And there was not a damn thing she could do about it.]

Yes, him especially. Perhaps it'll be a nice taste of home for him.

[Her expression remains sadly thoughtful as she continues.]

Then you definitely must wander into the sea. Feel the sand between your toes and the taste of saltwater in your mouth. In fact, I heard they sell clothing especially outfitted for swimming here.

Yes. Yes, it does. Perhaps you and I will be so fortunate, in time.

[Most of hers are gone, but she still holds that sentiment dear. And while she does envy the Starks, she also knows that this is going to be their only chance to see each other.]

I would like that. It can be a little adventure.

Always.

[Short of the unspeakable happening, she would always have Margaery's back.

She pauses, and something hangs on her tongue. Something that's been bothering her, a memory she can't quite recall. And if her mind is playing tricks on her and she is remembering wrong, well...

It's not the worst thing to admit.]

We... queens should stick together, no?

[Maker, that shouldn't be as nerve racking as it is, but at least she said it.]

I suppose wherever they normally sell clothes? The local tailor may be a good start, too.

But you will be.

[She knows about Dany and her plans, but to her it's nothing certain. While having dragons on your side helps, it hardly guarantees a victory. But she does not know if Margaery knows, and thus she says nothing about it. She knows all too well the sting of learning the future.]

Precisely. While I cannot claim to be an expert, it's something I have recently come into. And something you're going to step into. So if there is any way I can help...

[The offer is implied in the remaining silence.]
