Definitely.

[ said with a mixture of amusement and fondness. one day, he might tell you a story about a few marks that are still present on his shield, faded with time though the memory of how they've got them is still present. ]

I think she knew before I did.

[ steve rogers and romance. ]

Gotcha.

[how ironic is it that they both have a lasting something from the love of their lives.

Also Steve. Steve]

Well - then you can't go wrong with a couple of roses, right? Maybe - those and mix it up with some of the other flowers, so it's a nice assortment. [roses are romantic and you should obviously give them to someone you love: hank logic]

But roses are to be expected. I think something less traditional will do better. Not that -

[ he points back to the little fly eating plant ]

Though I have a suspicion she might like it but something in the middle.

I know they're expected. I'm bad at this too, remember?

[he also looks to the little fly eating plant and can't help but grin a little]

It's certainly unique, at least. And not traditional.

-- I'd have to find a different ship if I give her that.

[ he's pretty sure that's a reason for her exiling him for a month or two. mo girl can possibly find a fly eating plant to be romantic.

...he thinks. absolutely not sure. ]

I know, I'm not serious.

[better not chance it, this is only a joke let's not try to be serious about it, for the sake of their relationships]

[ he stares for a long moment in the flowers. ]

Well. There's only one thing I can think that we can do.

[ a good thing he worked for days on setting up the stalls, he takes a large number of acorns ]

We'll buy a little of each and get a third opinion.
beathach: (56)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-07-03 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[he can't help but laugh. It is a decent solution, especially for these two hopeless nerds]

That's not a bad idea at all.

Might be a little easier than standing here wasting the nice lady's time.

[ the lady at the stall looks like her month has been made, what's with all the acorns. ]

Hey maybe you can take a few to your - friend.

[ smiling as he puts the little pots into boxes and lifts them as if they were nothing ]
beathach: (174)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-07-12 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry about that. [either that or she's amused at their expense. It's very likely both, but Hank still offers her an apologetic smile.

He laughs a little and - he would offer to help carry them but Steve looks like he's got it handled]
I think she'd like some.

The peonies look nice.

[ looking down at the boxes as they walk, winning arched eyebrows and looks from the different natives. seems as if no one bought an entire flower stall before. Steve can only imagine Peggy's pained sigh if she even learns what occurred here ( he'll have to try and make sure she won't ) ]

How's she doing? your friend?
beathach: (179)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-07-12 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Honestly, they all look nice. That's the problem.

[don't worry Steve, Hank won't breathe a word about any of this to anyone. It'd only serve to encourage people to tease and they don't need the extra ammo]

Raven? She's - good. We're good. [that was an incredible understatement. He can't help but duck his head just a little] She likes it down here, but I think she likes that we don't have to stay on the ship the whole time, too.

How's your friend?
uprightness: (pic#10255317)

[personal profile] uprightness 2016-07-13 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
The change is good.

[ he's have to agree with Raven on that. being cooped up for so long with nothing else to do could drive an active individual out of their minds ]

She's - good.

[ much better in terms of healing from her injuries, thank heavens. ]

I think the open, clear air is showing its effect on everyone.
beathach: (181)

[personal profile] beathach 2016-07-13 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, it is.

[considering how long Hank can spend in a lab, it says a lot that it was starting to get to him, too]

That's good - and yeah, I think it is too. It's definitely a good thing.
