CLOSED TO PATHSTONE

[ ‘good luck, pilots’. yeah, well, he kind of needs it. considering the whole ‘space ship piloting’ is a generally new thing for him (never mind the sudden influx of knowledge and experience that he really can’t account for), suddenly having to land a space ship in the water brings a whole different meaning to ‘new experience’.

it isn’t his smoothest landing, and it certainly isn’t his prettiest, but accompanied by some rough language and a couple of bumps and bruises, the pathstone makes its landing with a splash. they made it though, which is good. sam counts that as a win.

sam will spend the first couple of hours after landing making sure the ship is in well enough order for them to be able to leave the planet again before he starts to make his way land-bound, so feel free to come find him around the pilot’s seat. ]

OPEN: SHOPS/PIER

[ sam doesn’t have a whole lot of extra cash to burn when it comes to shopping and stores, but that doesn’t stop him from taking advantage of the solid ground and open air. he’ll be wandering around the market quite a bit during his time here - if only because there’s definitely enough to see. the whole hand-holding bit catches him off-guard at first, but he’s one to roll with the punches more than anything, and he catches his stride easily enough.

now, he’s not going to be the one initiating any of this hand-holding, but he sure as hell isn’t jumping away from the sudden slip of someone else’s hand into his own (like he might have those first few times, cueing very awkward conversations with the natives). he’s not necessarily up to hugging strangers quite yet, but he could work there given enough time.

OPEN: GIVING TREE

[ sam heard rumors his first few days here, but he wasn’t sure what he felt about them. a tree that gives gifts? gifts from home? there’s no way it’s possible, but the longer he hangs around the people and the planet, the more possible it seems.

it takes a couple of weeks but eventually there comes a day where he decides, you know. maybe it’s worth a shot. he’s not all that hopeful, really, but if he could something from home that was maybe a bit useful…he doesn’t know. maybe his wings? that would help a lot.

granted, he doesn’t really know where he’s going, and that forest? is very large. and thick. and an easy place to get lost. anyone want to help? ]

[ tony doesn't exactly sleep well at the best of times. he has nightmares, he wakes up feeling like a weight is on his chest, and more and more frequently, he's discovered he can't really sleep alone. but seeing as pepper isn't here, and he's not exactly going to go share a room with some strangers (or sam), tony just sucks it up.

or does, until he gets knocked out of his bed by sam fucking wilson's crash landing. ]

[ there's a string of cursing heard from the captain's quarters -- a slammed door, and a huff, as tony marches himself right out onto the bridge -- and he's about to start into a tirade of how you should just know how to land things when he notices... ]

[Sometimes Kitty rolls with the unwelcome touches especially if she's at work, but today as she walks the streets she'll just slide right through people instead. Please note, I said "through". Not past or around, but through. Her molecules and their molecules are slipping by each other as she goes merrily on her way untouched when she notices Sam.]

[Nearby, and probably just in Sam's peripheral, there's a gaggle of native ladies all cooing and awwing and pinching cheeks; that's probably because Takeshi is a smol child holding hands with another smol child — a native who had been adamant about holding his hand. Even if it's sweaty. She's real nice, but Takeshi's feeling extra shy from all the scrutiny, so he bids the small girl goodbye in a stream of words and rushes away with a flustered jog.

[ This planet is something else, though. People keep trying to hold onto his hand or wrap their arms around his, and it's goddamn unsettling. Just another way for the Atroma to antagonize him after his glitch. That's not going to stop him from actually enjoying some fresh goddamn air and browsing the little market that's set up. Maybe he can get some fresh fruit..

He'd seen on the roster that Sam Wilson was here. All things considered, talking to him hasn't been high on Winter's list of priorities. Not that the guy has any sort of reason for wanting to talk to him. He does remember trying to kill him on the bridge.

But he's a friend of Steve's, and was a friend of Jim's, so that means something. Which is why he even approaches in the first place. ]
