[There's a slight crackle as the transmission begins, but it's almost immediately interrupted by a horrendous banging noise, and the screen is momentarily invaded by an out of of focus blob of colour again and again. Beyond the noise, it's possible to make out a voice that seems to be both very far away as well as muffled by something or someone.]

Hey, hey computer. Computer person, you there?

[Thankfully the banging stops after only a few moments; someone's been tapping at the camera, but has since figured out that it isn't doing anything helpful. Without the finger to focus on, the camera is finally able to come into focus, revealing a- well, someone fully decked out in regulation power armor. Someone that sounds very confused and just a little annoyed.]

Okay, cool, guess you're taking a nap or something. Not like a guy's stuck here, no clue where he is, nah go on and take your computer nap and-look get me the hell out of here.

Montana? Cap'n Galt? Galilea? [There's an exasperated noise.] Benedict? Look haha, funny. Come pick me up from where ever this is. The computer is taking a lame-ass nap or something.

I had enough ship crashes lately. Be nice not to have something blow up on me.

Well, Atroma gave you an augment when you showed up. So once you're assigned a ship, there'll be an armory as long as you or someone else on your crew has the right augment.

Augment?? 's that a fancy word for new gun?

[The augment is usually the first thing people notice. He blinks.]

No, it's the implant they put into your neck.

Wait, you're tellin' me they took off my helmet?!

[Nevermind the invasive surgery, he's been through that. The real travesty, and the real thing that makes him nervous, is the thought of someone out there stripping him down.]

[Oddly, as a former Stormtrooper, this is something he actually gets.]

You're lucky you still have it. Lot of times they take peoples' armor away.

[That's the last thing he wants to hear.]

Uh what?! Dude, no, that's not alright on like...a really big scale of not being alright. Can't take a guy's armor, that's personal.

There were enough of us on different shifts it didn't matter.

Oh, like a group or something? I remember my group, real cool guys. Hopin' they'll show their dumb tiny heads or something around real soon. Still, better to have the armor on than not.

[Finn shrugs.]

But if you're more comfortable with it on, no one stopping you.

Nah. [But by his tone, Finn's not only not broke up about it, but happy.] But I got other good friends here, so it makes up for it.

Oh, like a new crew? That's cool. You still get to do all the same stuff here then?

Mostly. There's plenty of time and room to train, and when we're near a planet there's lots to do there. But there's also a lot more freedom here - we can do whatever we want.
