[When Sokka turns on the feed he looks a mixture of annoyed and miserable. It's hard to tell, but if you squint, it seems annoyance is winning out. He is SO DONE right now. There is a strange looking bird perched on the back of his captain's chair, which seems disinterested in everything. He also appears to be eating some weird goop out of a bowl? Maybe it's ice cream?

(Spoilers: it's not ice cream)]

So for those of you keeping track, my world still seems the favourite for Most People Leaving In The Shortest Time Possible award. Both Zuko and Toph have gone. I even checked to see if Zuko was off emo-ing somewhere, but nope, he's gone.

[He waves his spoon at the screen and some of the greeny-goop drops from it with a wet splot. Sokka doesn't care, though. He's going into Rant Mode.]

As you can see, though, I'm still here! YEP. I don't go anywhere. I'm stuck here, forever. Nooooo going home for me. Nope. But hey, there's a girl from the future who's the reincarnation of my someday-dead friend, so wooooooooooo, I'm not completely alone. That's swell. Isn't that swell?

[That might be a bitter and slightly crazy laugh as he slouches back into his captain's chair, swinging it back and forth a little. Hawky screeches and flaps his wings a little, trying to regain some balance. Sokka reaches up to absently pat his little hawk head.]

Now all I need is Azula coming back and it'll be the best month ever.

[She doesn't know the face on the screen, but the story is a somewhat familiar one. She's never had anyone who was actually from home with her until she came to the fleet. In the prison there was a lot of alone and then getting close to people just to lose them again and the occasional future reincarnation thing. Okay, there was never a future reincarnation thing, but there were a few alternate reality versions of people she was close to. Like her mentor who barely even recognized her.]

At least you have your hawk? [Do people just have hawks here now? Is that a thing? Also, feeling for the situation is apparently not the same as knowing what to say in comfort.]

[Alternate realities so count as future reincarnation things. Absolutely. He glances up at Hawky, who just stares back at him. ]

Yeah, I guess. The weird magic hand holding tree gave him to me.

I mean, sure, he kind of abandoned me back home, but you know what? I'll take my comfort where I can get it.

Oh. I got a picture. [She'd take her picture over a hawk though.]

Abandoned you, huh? [That's rough, buddy.] Crewmates? [Kitty fell into a pretty good crew.]

Pictures don't really exist in my world, yet. But a painting would have been cool.

[Preferably not one he painted, the Blue Fish suffer his art enough. ]

Yeah, he's a messenger hawk. I sent him off with a message and he never came back. It was super rude.

[The hawk doesn't seem to care, but at the mention of his crew, Sokka perks up.]

Oh, yeah, my crew are awesome! The best.

Don't exist yet... [Okay, that's probably true for Tyrion and everyone from his world too, isn't it?] Right.

At least you have the network now. Maybe putting him out of business will keep him around.

That's something. [Until they all disappear. Don't say that, Kitty.] What ship are you on?

Well, photos, anyway. Or...most technology, actually. We're working on it.

Maybe. He's probably spiteful enough to do that.

[Hawky shifts his feet, a little agitated. It's almost like he understands what's being said about him.]

Blue Fish, I'm the captain. Name's Sokka.

Oh. Right. Allen, Beverly, and Robb's ship. [Small fleet.]

I'm Kitty. Pilot on the Windrose. [It feels like a strange address to give even if she's been here for a few months now. It doesn't feel as natural as saying she's with the X-Men or even leading the Defense Force as she did back in the prison.]

So, the hawk wasn't a gift you wanted? [A little curious about the tree's intent even if she had meant to offer some kind of comfort when she spoke up.]

Yeah, that's the one. They're a great crew.

[One thing Sokka can always rely on is his crew. He adores them, absolutely and completely, and would do anything for them. ]

Nice to meetcha, Kitty.

Not really. I wanted my sword back. I made it myself out of a meteorite.

That's good. [About the crew anyway.]

Meteorite, huh? We are in space. Have you found any similar raw material?

Yeah, a friend of mine managed to craft a new one for me. It's not quite the same, it doesn't have the memories the one back home holds for me. But it works, as swords go.

I know the feeling. I did the same thing with my weapon of choice here. [Not that she has particularly fond memories of clawing people open or anything, but training with Logan? That part was special.]

You just gotta work with that you can right? What's yours?

[She adjusts the angle of the feed and holds a hand up. There's a silver metal gauntlet wrapped around her forearm that looks like it might be a guard or even a chunky bracelet that got out of hand, but a moment later there is an audible "SNIKT" sound and up pop three sharp blades.] Claws.

[That gets a lot, appreciative whistle.]

Oooooooh those are amazing! What're they made of? Metal, obviously, but that looks nothing like what I've seen before. Are they retractable? How do they fold in on themselves? What's the trigger mechanism?

[And now she can get All The Questions. ]

You are just full of the questions. [Which she can't really blame him for. She is too even if she holds herself a bit more in check most of the time.]

A dense metal from a scrap yard on the moon. They had a lot. The tricky part was purifying it of the toxins that leeched in since I don't want my arms to fall off.

They are retractable. No offense, but if extending them was a one-time trick I probably wouldn't have done it just for you. And I'm not sure if I want to be giving out full details on them. [Proprietary to the X-Men!]

What can I say? I have a natural curiosity.

...You're serious. A scrap yard. On the moon. Doesn't seem the place for a scrapyard.

[He sounds a little touchy. Who even gets touchy about moons? ]

Huh, and none taken. That's really cool, though. Even if they're all secretive.

Um, yes? Is that strange? They had vehicles. They tend to breed scrapyards. [Wow, if you love the moon this much you should marry it.]

Oh the moon? How did they even breathe there?

And they should have cleaned her up first, Leaving stuff there is just rude.

[HE WOULD HAVE UNTIL SHE CAME DOWN WITH A CASE OF THE DEAD. RUDE, KITTY. B| ]

Are you asking how the cars breathe? [He must mean the people, right?] Her?

[Well, Kitty was also about to die at home so... So, okay, it's still rude.]

No, the people driving the cars. Cars don't breathe.

...Unless they do where you come from. Weird.

[Speaking of weird... ]

The moon spirit in my world is a girl I knew. Like...she was an actual person. And now she's the moon.

No breathing cars that I know of. [Though she wouldn't put it past Apocalypse's scientist minions to create some kind of bio-car out of people. He made an army of cyborgs, brainwashed into service. Best not to go there. Keep some of the horrors of her world to herself.]

Oh... [Sounds complicated. She's used to complicated.]

No wonder you'd be protective then. She's a friend?

That's comforting. I can live in a world without breathing cars.

Yeah. She was my first girlfriend. She meant a lot to me. Still does.

[And then she died :)]

I'm sorry. [Relationships can end a lot of ways. You never see the moon thing coming.] That's rough. [Buddy.]

And now that I've contacted to make you think of even more people you're missing when the whole point of the broadcasting about losing people I think my work here is done. [This is something like an apology. Did it feel like one?]

[That get's a soft 'heh' out of him. ] That's what one of my friends said, too.

Don't worry about it. I totally brought it onto myself.

[Eh, he'll take it as one. ]

Well, sometimes it helps to wallow for awhile before finding the good again anyway. [Feel the feelings instead of trying to bury them.]
