[When Sokka turns on the feed he looks a mixture of annoyed and miserable. It's hard to tell, but if you squint, it seems annoyance is winning out. He is SO DONE right now. There is a strange looking bird perched on the back of his captain's chair, which seems disinterested in everything. He also appears to be eating some weird goop out of a bowl? Maybe it's ice cream?

(Spoilers: it's not ice cream)]

So for those of you keeping track, my world still seems the favourite for Most People Leaving In The Shortest Time Possible award. Both Zuko and Toph have gone. I even checked to see if Zuko was off emo-ing somewhere, but nope, he's gone.

[He waves his spoon at the screen and some of the greeny-goop drops from it with a wet splot. Sokka doesn't care, though. He's going into Rant Mode.]

As you can see, though, I'm still here! YEP. I don't go anywhere. I'm stuck here, forever. Nooooo going home for me. Nope. But hey, there's a girl from the future who's the reincarnation of my someday-dead friend, so wooooooooooo, I'm not completely alone. That's swell. Isn't that swell?

[That might be a bitter and slightly crazy laugh as he slouches back into his captain's chair, swinging it back and forth a little. Hawky screeches and flaps his wings a little, trying to regain some balance. Sokka reaches up to absently pat his little hawk head.]

Now all I need is Azula coming back and it'll be the best month ever.

Nah, Toph showed up last June, I think it was. I was the only one from my world here for the first five months.

I feel you there. I had a couple people from my world right at the start, but they're long gone.

Really? That sucks. Makes you wonder why some of us are left behind, doesn't it? What makes us special?

Maybe we're the ones left behind because the audience eats up our reaction to everyone leaving.

[She doesn't think there's rhyme or reason to it tbh. Luffy is way more interesting than she is, and he's the one that went home.]

I hope you see them again soon. One way or the other. [It might be selfish to wish you had people from home here, but fuck it.]

I still don't know if they actually go home. When they vanish from here.

I think they do. There's a couple people who've been back and forth who have clearly gone home and are surprised to find themselves back here. Though I grant you they could've just been deep-sleeping on the Marsiva or something, but... think positive, right?

That's the thing. I went home and came back with years worth of memories. They could easily just...put people into a deep sleep somewhere.

When I asked Atroma about it they just wouldn't answer it properly. Just said they were 'safe'.

[He snorts out a sardonic laugh. ]

Yeah if you're looking for a positive outlook, you're talking to the wrong guy.

I'm gathering. [Dryly. Can't blame you, Sokka.]

I grant there's a whole lot here that could be the worst case scenario. I won't dismiss any of it, but I won't dwell on it, either. [Not more than, y'know, that one hour or two at night sometimes.] I'd rather hope for the best and look for ways to make the hope a reality.

Ugh.

You'd get on great with a friend of mine back home. Still, I don't know, I don't trust Atroma all that much. We'll only ever know when we leave ourselves, though, so-

[It's true. Nami and Aang have been fantastic friends in other games.]

I'm just trying not to be bitter. [But she grins a little anyway.] It's smart not to trust them. And I'll work on my own way home, but I refuse to believe I won't ever see my friends again.

Oh yeah. I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure I see my friends and family again. These jerks aren't gonna keep me away from them.

Sokka the Greatest, huh? I'll be sure to remember that. [So gravely.] The Greatest at everything or just some things? Or is it a family name? I mean you never know.

I'd like to go for everything, or maybe Most Things.

I mean if we're gonna be honest, it's Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe, but that doesn't mean much to people outside of home.

Well, there's nothing wrong with a little ambition. Are you like Toph? You bend ... water? [Hazarding a guess.]

Oh, no. I can't bend like the rest of my happy little group. I'm the one with the brains and the dashingly good looks.

Hah. Sounds like we have that in common. My crew back home are generally monsters when it comes to strength. Some of us have to get by on our smarts.

Exactly! And you know what, I wouldn't want it any other way. My smarts have got us out of more messes than I can count.

That seems to be a common theme. With great power comes a great lack of common sense?

I know. It's like they're trying to be stupid, some of the leaders I've met.

Maybe they think they're allowed to be because people like us are around.

Huh, I never thought about it like that before. You're probable right. They just know they can rely on us with the brains.
